There are so many issues that need addressing at the moment, seems we can now add basic fitness levels to the list. It looked like we had played 120 minutes on Thursday night not them. Don't take any great pleasure in saying it but I will be surprised if Pellegrini is manager at the start of next season. 18 months of neglecting the ugly/boring side of the game has taken its toll and we are becoming increasingly shambolic defensively. It takes so little for teams to cause us problems, it's frightening, yet nothing seems to be being done to address this in terms of getting back to basics and just getting ourselves organised as a team. I don't doubt for a minute that if the likes of Kompany and Zabaleta went to Chelsea they would be back to being top quality players fairly rapidly, this system, this way of setting up, whatever you want to call it, has reduced top players to utter chumps. Just my opinion of course, I'm sure there will be plenty who think the way we defend is fine and put everything down to individual errors.
