Liverpool Post Match

Far better side first half, disappointed with how we came out second half, I think we handed the initiative to the scousers. Lost to a wonderful strike that nine out of ten times ends up in the stands.

Think its disgusting how so many blues dance to the pundits tune, Neville and Carragher one a died in the wool rag and another a died in the wool scouser jumping on 442 as soon as they could - this is the agenda in full flow.

I saw a game that we bossed in the first half and Liverpool got the upper hand in the second, they were at home, its not the end of the world or a sign that we need a radical squad re-think - we're second in the league ffs, if we've got so many problems (allegedly) what does that say for the other 18 teams in the league ?

Had Silva and Aguero had their shooting boots on,we would have got a draw. Also, not a mention of a blatant penalty on Zaba. Anywhere else on the pitch a foul is given, but unsurprisingly not a peep from the pundits and one solitary replay with it completely glossed over.

Liverpool are world beaters today apparently and Rodgers is getting everything right, but only 3 days earlier they were going out to Besiktas in the Europa. Considering the stick we have been getting losing to one of the best teams in world football then surely Liverpool need to restructure their whole squad ?

The difference today was they got the goal, we didn't.
Allow me to assist you...

It was a good game of entertaining football. Yes we had a bad second half, but it wasn't shambolic, a long way from that. I'd take our playstyle over Chelsea's anyday.

Sorry, but if we think that was good entertaining football we are in trouble. I'd guess we gave the ball away more in this game than any game in the last 4 years. We were truely dreadful. If that's what now constitutes a good game, we may as well just go and watch Sunday morning football.

There were two teams on the pitch having a go at each other, therefore in my eyes it was entertaining, we lost because they were better than us in the second half

I wouldn't disagree. What I would say though is that it is no wonder English teams do so badly in Europe these days because that was two of the best teams in the country and whilst it was entertaining or exciting or how ever you want to describe it, it was often shit in terms of technique and certainly organisation. The premier league is the most exciting league in the world but let's not kid ourselves it is full of ordinary teams at the moment. Chelsea are the only team that look close to being balanced and organised enough to have even half a chance in Europe to me.

our players are bullies, love leathering shit teams , when it comes to battling against good teams they talk a good game but then turn into big shithouses. The manager cant escape criticism, the huge spaces between the midfield and defence make us easy to play against. What happened to our solid defence? we used to be so hard to beat. One defeat too many for me this season, end of the road...P45 awaits

I'm pretty sure our record against the top 6 is pretty good

I don't know, I don't think Liverpool were great. To me if we were anywhere near our best we would of won that game easily. Joe didn't have much to do really, two great goals from them but we gave them so much space we invited it. I can take losing, but I hate losing when we are poor.

Anyone else furious at the lack of urgency in those final few minutes. Watching kolarov going through the motions with those throw ins was painful to see. Only Silva, Zabba and Sergio seem to want it today.

It was infuriating, you'd think we were the ones who played a 120minute Europa League game on Thursday night!

Out fought, thought and classed.

The players and manager need to take a long hard look at themselves after that.

Poor set up from Pellers and an even poorer effort from the team.

We were owned. Embarrassing.
Fucking stupid phrase; "owned" FFS, but yes, it was embarrassing that we showed bugger all desire.
I don't want eleven running around like blue-arse Dickovs but I do want to see some movement, some interest and a realisation that we were wearing blue so passing to a player in red was likely to be a mistake.
Good job we didn't get back from Turkey on Friday morning or they'd have taken their beds onto the pitch with them.
Pellers may be an arse at times but he wasn't giving the ball away, missing tackles and strolling instead of running.
Fight to the end? What, the end of the first half, cos we showed zero fight in the second.
Fifty-two quid for that bucket of shite. No wonder people think I'm mad.
