Sorry this is just daft. It's like saying levantine arabs can't be antisemites because they are also semites, or "I'm not homophobic because I'm not scared of homosexuals but I still like giving them a good hiding".
Words can have different definitions besides the "common sense" obvious one that one might assume.
In my first year of my degree I can remember a lecturer stating that using dictionary definitions for essays was wrong and it was correct to refer to definitions in subject source materials.
