Latest KK v RH point count.

Hodgson's 17 league games in charge produced 22 points. Sacked.
King Kenny's last 17 league games produced 16 points. Still in a job.

Liverpool 19th in the form table for the last 15 games, only Wolves are worse.
Can see them finishing in the bottom half as things stand. But they've won the Carling Cup so that's OK, plus there's the great shirt deal they did, even if it was with one of John W Henry's Boston mates who significantly over-paid for it.

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012

Was reading their post match thread on RAWK yesterday and many believe that if they had a top striker and Lucas playing, they would be Top 4.

Currently 8th position in the League

Currently 16pts behind 4th
Currently 27pts behind 1st
Currently 4pts from 14th position

Norwich away at the weekend

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012

Fancy Norwich for that. What I can't fathom out is when did Liverpool gain any of the points they have?? The last ten games out of a possible 30 points they have got 7. Wolves over the same period have 2. Shocking form, and I reckon they will finish bottom half. Maybe get three points more. They will be just thinking about the cup now. Win that and it massively papers over the cracks of an absolute dog of a season.

KK will be gone by Jan 2013. Lost in the dark ages, and a massive upheaval of a job. They need two top centre mids, a centre back, and a top striker. £100m minimum spend, and that's without getting rid of players as they will need Henderson's, Carroll's and Adam's for cover.

Newcastle on the other hand...............ripe for a middle eastern takeover if you ask me. They don't need to add much to be really challenging. No rival in Newcastle, big support, and possibly Champs League. Lot of potential there if you ask me. £40m spent wisely on transfers could really turn them into a major force.

I've always liked Newcastle and, like you say, no real City rivalry in terms of taking their support away. Plus, they already have the makings of a European side.

If Ashley gives Pardew another £40m to spend then I'd expect 2x full backs, 1x centre back, 1x centre mid and 1x winger.

They'd have some depth then. At the moment, the likes of Simpson, Santon & Williamson would get exposed by the more experienced european sides and if they happened to get one of Cabaye or Tiote injured for a sizeable period of time, they'd only have Guthrie or someone like that to step up.

They are a big attraction so I don't think they would struggle to attract top players. Would like them to go for someone like Debauchy from Lille and someone like Dempsey & Dembele from Fulham would enhance their squad.

To be fair, they're probably right. They've battered loads of teams at home but not scored the goals.Yesterday's game was another example

It's fucking brilliant

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012

I think it's already been put about that liverpool will spend between 20-30 million this summer mostly on younger players. How they expect to get champs league with that I don't know
