Liverpool Thread 2012/13

Rawk is the football forum equivalent of north korea so your well rid. It's the way they use the " matchstick man rolling on the floor laughing " symbol that does my head in. Yeah we know your hilarious you don't need to remind us ya gobshites ! I supported them re hillsborough but apart from that they are beyond hope

One of those blues just got a bollocking for mentioning the Sun, even though he was slagging it off. That place is a fucking joke, and they have the nerve to whinge about here.

*waves at the lurking dippers*

I was the blue you mention. I signed up to RAWK (naively you could say) to have a some good discussion on their Manchester City thread as I couldn't see many blues on there and the whole thread was very one sided. I also went on their Hillsborough thread and offered my support for their cause and signed their petition

Firstly the general hospitality to opposition fans on the site is severly lacking - there is no welcome to the forum or any pleasant exchanges - they are on the defensive from the start.

I found over the days that followed that Liverpool are only interested in talking about City if it's within the context of FFP. When you try to discuss FFP it's always in the context that Liverpool are run correctly and City are in league with the Devil. There is a lot socialist clap trap that we're spoiling football (they don't like you pointing out that United are competing against Chelsea and City and they don't have the financial backing of a sugar Daddy or the fact that that during the 80s they broke the bank for Barnes and Beardsley). I asked why (if they felt strongly about FFP) there wasn't a Chelsea thread and why the PSG thread was 7 pages and I suggested that maybe it would be better to have a seperate thread for City to allow us to discuss football. One or two of the members on there did attempt to discuss football (although as one guy said it has to be in context of Liverpool) but they have a lot of twats on there who are only interested in point scoring, confrontation etc.
Great-grandchildren of slave owners who are now very much part of respectable society like looking down their nose at new money. They readily forget what allowed them to arrive at where they find themselves.

Behind every great fortune there is a great crime
Honoré de Balzac.

For Sheikh Mansour read the Moores family. For a set of supporters so intent on citing history, they have a very selective way of applying it.

Shack, tell us what you think of bluemoon.;)

I think in general it portrays your fanbase as I would expect. Grounded and down to earth and fans who know how to give and take banter. Rawk does not allow consent or disagreement and pulls more threads than an autistic embroiderer !!

and yet I think you take more than your fair share of unjustified abuse on here

Part of rawks problem it's there are just too many members, you can join in a discussion go back an hour later and there is 30+ pages added that you would have to trawl through.
It is just completely pointless going on there.

They'd certainly like to forget that the Moores family started off by selling football pools coupons outside Old Trafford.
As M. de Balzac opined, behind every great fortune.....

If I was called Ball Sack I think I'd be inclined to keep my opinions to myself.

in fairness i am an evertonian on a city forum, if i can't take it i shouldn't be on here. and in fairness i think most of it is warranted ;-) i think its a respect thing and if you go on another teams forum you have to be up for stick. most of my posts will be in response to an everton or liverpool thread and am not trying to change people's perceptions but it adds another facet to the debate hopefully. most scousers who slag off manchester and it's teams rarely go there and vice versa. i like manchester as a city and have respect for city as a club and fanbase. would never entertain a united forum as they lack quality and most do not have a scooby what they are talking about.
