Not that optimistic, over the years Everton seem to have the upper hand on us. I would take any win, a draw like last year does no one any favours really. Maybe we should start to see Everton as the real derby rather than those lot from Trafford. :-)

Edited.

They are playing well at the moment but so are we and I expect another comfortable home win, I just can't see how they are going to cope with our fire power.

A rare off day from our midfield two though would play right into the strengths they have of bursting from midfield especially as Gerrard who slows their play right down will be absent.

That Uruguayan isn't too shabby either.

No doubt Aguero and Zabaleta injured will be a boost for us. But I still think it will be a good game come boxing day, I am fairly nervous about it, think we'll lose, but if we play like we did against Spurs then who knows?

How do you guys feel? :)

Personally, I'm shitting it. But that could be because my 3 odd hour journey there and back is being made with a Liverpool fan, and because Aguero is definitely out and Suarez is in incredible form.

But the saving grace is that we are at home, we have the Beast, with Silva and Nasri in great form and Kompany is fighting fit.

I want a win, but personally depending on the unfolding of the game, it wouldn't be too bad if we drew.

If we play like Spurs I think we'll lose too. I don't think your midfield will get such an easy ride this time. You were superb but Spurs made you look better.
I'm not as confident with Zabba missing, but I think it will be a cracking game. I'm nervous I must admit.

That was at Southampton. They have a good team, and scored a great goal.

Liverpool have the game that could cause us problems - strong defensively and good on the counter

And they have a fantastic work ethic and work rate.
This is the one single home game that worries me. As you say they counter attack with
speed and precision. They had the better of us in both games last season and I think
this will be our toughest home game this season by some distance.

Haha! Do we? I haven't really considered us a counter attacking team, against Spurs it was good, but that was one game. Previous to that we seem to really slooooow things down.

Nice to hear though I guess. :)

-- Thu Dec 19, 2013 8:45 am --

Huh... well that gives me more confidence. City fans are 'shitting it' for playing Liverpool. Anyway, like you said, you guys are at home. At home you just dont seem to lose, would be nice if we were the team to end that record. But I would happily take a draw come boxing day... Provided we beat Chelsea, which I feel more confident we can do.

The last thing city do these days is "shit it". Even against the big boys let alone the likes of Liverpool.
