Well its been spot on for the last five years so I havent lost all confidence in it yet.

I'm very nervous about the Cardiff game, but oddly serene about playing you lot and Chelsea. I figure at the Eithad, anything other than getting destroyed by a three goal margin is acceptable....for example, if we lose 2-1 but look ok, then oh well.

Chelsea, for some reason I'm certain we'll get at least a draw.

Now the Cardiff game, I'm scared. I'm not liking all this "top at Christmas" foreshadowing. Just seems rather presumptive. On the back of the win at Spurs, I'm really interested in the attitude and intensity of the guys this weekend, we can't afford to come out all entitled or looking ahead to Boxing day. This is the type of game where ideally we want to come out with a 2-0 half-time lead, and then sub out Suarez, Henderson (or Couthinho) and Sterling and rest them.

Speaking of Raheem Sterling, who is playing right-back for you lot on the 26th....? I'd go for Milner rather than Boyata if I were you, although it's probably a moot point with Fernandinho and Yaya bulldozing the midfield.

Midfield is absolutely key in this game, them without Gerrard could be a 'massive' blow for them if Ferny and Yaya get to grips and play like they both can.

Kompany is in top form again and should have enough to keep Suarez quiet, we should have enough up front to stick a couple in.

Having said all that, lately we haven't quite mastered beating Liverpool so I reckon it will be 1-1 or 2-1 City.

Looking forward to it mind, nervous too though.

Only other games been nervous about this season at home have been yoonited, spuds and arse, maybe a good sign?!

Not shitting it exactly but i do not like playing them if truth be known.
This season they have really come on strong also.

I think we will win but i think they will push us more than most.

With Kompany you'll be fine. He's one of the few defenders who can avoid having Suarez take the piss off of him.

-- Thu Dec 19, 2013 9:35 am --

Why? If ever there was a banker, it was Arsenal losing at the Eitahad. Second probably only to them losing at OT.

Great press conference with Rodgers highlighting the current plight of Cardiff. Malkay Mckay - who's doing a good job is marginalised by a business man who knows nothing about football.

Fair play to Rodgers, but most of the time he sounds like David Brent.

Wary of those contract clauses like but hopefully it'll stop the speculation this January
