Hodgson will still pick Gerrard as 1st choice if he stays on, like I said I bet it was Hodgson who has made Gerrard think again about retiring

Whoever Brenda buys, the media will be supportive of him, despite some of the shit he's wasted money on in the past. I've already seen the purchase of Lambert being hailed as a great bit of business and a 'shrewd' move. If Micah goes there, it will be all about Brenda rescuing MR's career.

Although they were our direct rivals last season and a lot of their fans got quite giddy I still don't mind them as a club. I think Rodgers has shown he is a very good manager and can motivate his team. I think Suarez will probably go but they will get quite a bit of money off the back of it and it will be interesting to see what kind of players Rodgers will be able to bring in and mould in to the team.

While I agree that Rodgers did prove he can motivate his team and he created a very potent attacking force, he proved to be tactically naïve in that instead of settling for a point against Chelsea, and shutting up shop when Palace scored their first, he seemed to know only one way of playing. And that was to attack. This tactical naïveté ultimately led to Liverpool missing out on the title, as we kept going when it mattered and won our last five games.
I honestly think that had pellers blown the league by being so naive from the position they had got themselves in we would have wanted him sacked not awarding him a fresh contract

In Ireland, we have a saying: "this a neighbour's child we're talking about". In essence, it refers to a sort of communal nepotism. A nod and a wink to help one of our own get by; often because without it, the eejit would starve to death. Rodgers is the epitome of the neighbour's child. A tactically myopic, used car salesman whose linguistic contortions are seized upon by an indulgent media as legitimate argument rather than rightly exposed as the Orwellian spoofery that they are.
If his Liverpool team took a collective dump upon the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the British media would spin it as a postmodern, anti-war commentary.
All his geese are swans, as they also say. John Henry, bouyed by the increased revenue for next year, blinded by the gushing reviews but, crucially anchored by a limited knowledge of his investment's requirements has most likely made a fatal error in awarding this man with a new, improved contract.
There's another old saying that comes to mind. One that's heard from Liverpool to Boston and way beyond. Something about a fool and his money...

Think Hodgson has talked Gerrard around from retiring! Don't you think its a bit big headed by Gerrard letting everyone know by the way I'm going away to think about retiring what a cock!! What is it with players announcing and making a drama about retiring, just come out and say that's it I'm retiring the end!

What's worse ? A player retiring and not playing, or continuing to play with a retired performance ! ..... Stevie G knows it, the average England fan knows it, only the blinkered scousers and apparently the England manager don't see it .... HIS TIME IS OVER AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL !

You probably couldn't argue about that one!

Like Beckham holding a press conference to say he's giving to charity.

Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana is set to have a medical ahead of a proposed £25m move to Liverpool. Lalana for 25 mln. We bought Silva for 24. English players are so overpriced.
