Why the fuck would Henderson ever take a penalty anyway? And why is he a free kick expert all of a sudden?

They really are trying to mould him into the next Gerrard, despite Gerrard still being better than him at 35

first off,if Henderson was given the job of penalties by Brenda then Henderson should of taken it.

Henderson as a capt showed hes not upto the job,he looked scared to death when Mario took the ball off him,sturridge was even saying so ,

Mario is deadly from the penalty spot,why the fuck would Brenda give the job to Henderson ,Henderson is a trier nother else ,Mario has more tekkers in his little toe than Henderson has in his whole body,if there was one player in the world I would want to take a penalty then Mario is the one.

got me thinking imagine if Sergio had gone down against qpr ,imagine the tension when Mario steps up ,fuck me ive got the cobblewobbles :)

We'd all have been shitting bricks but I'd have had complete confidence in Mario to score. Which is why he was right to take it last night. If I was Rodgers, I'd be saying to the players today "Look, the penalty was taken and scored by someone who has scored virtually all the penalties he's taken in his career. So I'm happy with the outcome and if Mario's on the field then I'm happy that he takes them & I'll take responsibility for any confusion. However, no matter how senior you are at this club, no matter what you've won or how many caps you've got, while you're under contract you DO NOT criticise this club, me or the players in public. Ever. Got that Stevie?"

Do you think Henderson is a better penalty taker than Balotelli? I don't necessarily disagree with what you've said but if I was a Liverpool fan, I would be asking serious questions of a manager who has Henderson ahead of Balotelli in terms of taking penalties. It displays such terrible basic judgement. Doesn't matter which player has more impact on the team's performances, doesn't matter who is a **** and who isn't, Balotelli is one of the best penalty takers in the world.

But if you were Rodgers, there wouldn't have been the slightest shred of confusion that if the best penalty taker at the club is on the pitch he takes the fucking penalties would there? The fact that they seem to be choosing penalty taker on how well respected a player is at the club and not on their penalty taking ability tells me there's something not right in that dressing room/management of the dressing room.

Mad as a box of frogs he may be, but we all know Mario would not just have stepped up to the plate and taken (and scored) that penalty, he would have loved every second of doing so.
