He was without doubt a GREAT player, in my time watching football i don't think i can remember 1 player winning games on his own more than Gerrard, a lot of people who are saying he is not a great player will be down the pub tomorrow calling Kinkladze a legend

To most blues Kinkladze was/is a legend, as is/was Colin Bell. That doesn't mean that they are still great players but that they once were. Just as Gerrard will always be a Liverpool legend but that doesn't mean he is still a great player. If he was still a great player, he wouldn't be leaving Liverpool and going to the USA.

I would love to have a player that has stuck with our club and won as many trophies as Gerrard has, also to top it off he's a local lad. Anyone who doesn't agree is just a complete twat. Gerrard is a legend to Liverpool and I would love a player to play for us from the academy and retire with us. Good luck Gerrard!

He won 1 CL, 1 EL & 2 FA Cups. So basically 4 trophies.

I can't see that being much of an issue in the coming years

yeah as i said he WAS a great player, i never watched him live but I'm pretty sure Colin Bell was also a great player but do you think many people other than City fans who would put him in an English 11 over Gerrard ? i don't think Liverpool win a single cup in last 15 years without Gerrard, yep for me he WAS a great player

I stand corrected he's won around 25 trophies in his time.
