I know I keep saying this, but Liverpool are running away with the league, why is Klopp so worried about potential injuries in the cups? It won't make a bit of difference, Liverpool are not going to bottle the league now. It's just not possible. If they're good enough to beat EVERY SINGLE TEAM in the PL, they're good enough to play in cups.

But perhaps in their minds they still think they might blow it !!.....

That's just stupid. No offence, but City are suffering from burnout this season and Liverpool are just unstoppable. Klopp knows full well they've won the league. He just won't admit it. And Everton might have to give them a guard of honour at Goodison too. :(

Maybe naive but it still amazes me that the other clubs don't tell Liverpool etc to just fuck off. All part of football's feudal system I guess where the peasants tug their forelocks and take what they are given.

I wouldn't be surprised if City are one of the clubs pushing for this.
The PL have pushed the Football League into submission, and can't be outvoted, as far as I know.

My son said it's due to a punishment for fielding the kids ...wow ....poor Shrewsbury are getting well and truly screwed over this !!

If true !

It was said to be the reason on the BBC this evening. It also had a backpage on the Mirror (I think) about costing Shrewsbury 500k, based on ticket price drops and lack of TV money.
