We should send an u23 team to 3rd round game if we get some poor side like Shrewsbury next year, see what the difference in reaction is.

We saw what the reaction was in 2016 when we sent a mixed squad and youth side to Chelsea in the 5th round because we were playing a Champions League match in Kiev 48 hours later. Pundits and the media accused us of disrespecting the FA Cup. Littlewoods FC let their first team jet off on holiday but they're getting a free ride in the media.

That is true but Liverpool don't have their best players cherry picked from every season by their biggest rival like Dortmund did. I assume this Liverpool squad is also a.lot bigger than the one he had in Germany.

I don't watch or pay much attention to German football but I will go back to my original point that he is smart and German. Whatever mistakes he made in Dortmund that led to their collapse won't be made again just like any mistakes he has made at Liverpool won't be made again.

Don't know how big his squad was in Dortmund, but he is not using much of it in Liverpool. He rarely makes any changes in his team.

Not sure what media you consume, but this has been debated constantly since Klopp announced his intentions, some supporting them, some criticising them/him.

Can you advise where he's being criticised (serious question)? Because all I've seen, heard and read is either support or stony silence. The classic is the quotes from Shearer that another poster put on BM. He slagged City off big time for disrespecting the FA Cup with the Chelsea game, despite greatly extenuating circumstances, but supports Klopp picking the kids for Shrewsbury while he and his players went on holiday.

Klopp has had very little criticism and even then mostly for the fact he couldn't even be bothered to attend the match. In fact there was an LFC propaganda story praising him for phoning the team at half time! Any other team would have been slaughtered.

I know this has been discussed in the Liverpool thread but I don't believe Klopp has been called out anywhere near adequately on this issue.

I did a quick search and if anything he is being praised for it. Only ex-players like Shearer and Ferdinand seem to have an issue with it. The general media narrative seems to be one of apathy or support.

This one is interesting as they debate if he is right or wrong. It is about a 50/50 split which seems very odd given the pelters other teams have suffered for playing weakened teams.
