If Sterling had joined City from any other team would he have received the hatred and vitriol he was subjected to? Booed by fans of teams like Burnley, West Brom etc, as their fans were influenced by sections of the media who were outraged he would leave Anfield for the Etihad. At least there was a better player in Jordan Ibe to step into his shoes.

Shadow Sports Minister - "lack of equality" at Liverpool

The Shadow Sports Minister, Alison McGovern MP for Wirral South, a Liverpool supporter who has attended women's team fixtures, called the inequality at the club "stark".

She told the Telegraph Sport. "I have to ask myself why women's football - in general, but particularly in Liverpool's case - is still given too little respect, too little investment and too little equality."

Compare and contrast this with City Women. The difference could not be more stark either.

I wont read them but will our resident Dips respond to this ?
I still haven't worked out why they are not called Tranmere Ladies TBH.

Deleted a load of posts earlier, and thread banned one of their prominent posters who seemed to be antagonising people the most. Worth mentioning though that some of the most vocal complainants still keep goading Liverpool fans, and then are indignant about “fucking scousers on this forum” when they respond. A bit of self-awareness wouldn’t go amiss from time to time.

They are the past. I had forgotten about them then the terrorists attacked the City team coach. Time to forget them again.

It's just a little thing but as you are on a City forum, could you please spell City with a capital C please. I know its petty but it shows respect to our club.

Yes City have been the most consistent club the last decade. But it's not just about consistency it's about how the players feel about the club and the way the club feel about the players. Look how you treated Sterling , Sane looks like he wants to leave but City and us fans arent treating him like your lot and the press/media did to Sterling. These players have seen the club build the best football campus in the world. These players have seen how much City have invested in East Manchester. These players (I guess) feel proud to be part of it. Perhaps our players havent got big egos and feel the need to be on the press every day. It's nice to win person awards buts it's not the driving force behind City players due to the fact that they are ignored because they play for City. Our players know they would get a higher profile if they played for the teams in red. Most of our players enjoy being part of this part of Citys history. As a fan of 60 years I feel very proud that Aguero, Fernandinho, Silva, Kompany, Zabaleta have given my club their best years.

Where as liverpool train overlooking houses and the way liverpool havent invested in the Anfield area apart from buying up their homes and leaving them derelict for years. Perhaps some of your players didnt like the way liverpool is run.

Who knows the really reason why some players stay for most of their career at one club. Some for the project, some to be a big fish in a small pond, some for money, some because they dont want to test themselves.

Good post and I think it is one of the reasons why I support City over the whole FFP situation. Whilst they have put money into their squad, it has been about alot more than that. What they have built and given to their local community is something that should be seen as something that others should aspire to. Instead i think many are just jealous and so slam them.

Certainly agree about the players aswell. Fans are too quick to pan players who want to move on. There are more reasosn to be soemwhere than money. there has to be some connection or somethign that makes someone want to be somewhere..or move away.

I know what Anfield and the surrounding areas was like from the time of my first game back in 1976 and would hope that it can continue to improve. It would also be nice if they could support the women's side more and have them play "at home" rather than the other side of the Mersey.
