What was the special welcome for us and our bus all about then?
Read some of the vile bullshit posted on your fan websites about our club and some of the Echos vilification in various articles as well as John Henry's musings about our ownership and you might understand our growing hatred of you and your cult. You won't though as you have no self awareness but plenty of self righteousness. The latest "were not part of England" bollocks being a prime example.
I can only hope the footballing gods ensure its us picking the league trophy up in May to save everyone else from the media wankfest that would last all summer and into the following year.

Two main VAR decisions affecting the title race

City v Spurs , Jesus goal disallowed , we lose 2 points

Chelsea v Dippers , Chelsea goal disallowed , Dippers gain 2 points

Forget any other VAR decisions these are the two that matter , and there will be many more this season , the premier league want a Dipper title because its good for the product , both these decisions debatable to say the least.

Maybe we will, maybe we won't, but let's not pretend you're on the opposite end of the luck continuum.

So come on pray tell. How many times did lady luck shine on us in total. Yeah course we got decisions that maybe we didn't deserve but that's football. Nothing though compared to the what 4 or 5 goalies contriving to put the ball in there own net. Nothing compared to penalties or freekicks that Salah bought with his cheating. Fouls you were allowed to get away with. And no major long-term injuries to your key players, that's luck. And don't npretend it isn't.

Second half performance was trash. I mean I haven't felt like that watching us in a long time, that hanging on feeling.

I'm going give them the benefit of the doubt and say that that was down to playing in Naples earlier in the week.

I’m a Red and I wholeheartedly agree with this. In no real world is the majority of members on there representative of our fan base. Pathetic little try hards who are desperate to fit in and belong, most of which have never been to Anfield in their lives.
On the flip side, I know a few old school City fans in real life and none of them are remotely like the seeming majority of this place. Moral of the story is that judging an entire fan base based on one internet forum is usually futile. The thing that surprises me about here is the over the top cartoon hatred for us. We’ve never had a rivalry with you lot and never will. You’re a fucking superb football team, no doubt at all, but don’t understand the bile that comes from here on that. Going to be a hell of a tear up for the league this year though.

The cartoon hatred as you put it is because of your fans real life wrong doings. If you weren't so blinkered you'd know why your club and hence the fans are despised. Put it this way if any other club had the infamy your lot have you'd know where we are coming from. I'm one of the old skool city fans, been to a field had a bit of mither no issues with that, but it's your fans other antics which culminated in an attack on an opposition team's bus. Just think about that for a moment, your fans attacked the bus of an opposing team. I'm sure it was all those off rawk you know the minority, but and it's a big but the MAJORITY stood by and did nothing. That's why I and many others harbour cartoon hatred for your club.

There’s a few points to cover here, but I’ll do my best.

- Never once have I said that it’s ‘our year this year’ or anything like it. It’s a two horse race undoubtedly but only virgins and modern footy newcomers would start crowing after six games.

- I don’t see the point you’re making about where were we when United were winning the league every year? We were wallowing in mediocrity for the 90s and have obviously climbed out since then. Where were you?

- Whether either of us like it or not, media people show bias, intentional or not. Tyler sounds like he’s just been given a death sentence every time we score. Spent the whole game today sniping at us. Do I care? Not one bit and nor should you. You’ve got one of the best teams in the world here, why would you give a fuck what divvies in the paper or on the telly say? I’m not sure you’re right there about Pep being demonised if he ‘threw’ the cups but it’s all opinions. With your squad though, I don’t see how you could throw any comps to be honest.

In the nicest way, I couldn’t give a toss about you lot either, it’s Everton and Utd for me. You’re a superb togger team though, going to be a great race this season.

Headline on 5Live Sport this morning mentioned the Dippers record breaking run continuing... what records have they broken or have I missed something? Meanwhile I see we have reached record breaking infestation levels on here, but I’m sure that won’t make 5Live :)
