Liverpool thread 2019/20

My comment was tongue-in-cheek, as that is what we had to put up with two years ago, when we ran away with the title.

It’s matter of fact as well, everyone barring the dippers have been terrible. The only group of supporters walking away from this season happy would be Leicester and Sheffield United.

Klopp is doing an Interview on Bein Sports with Wenger interviewing him.

He's turned up in the Scouse beachwear collection. Everything has "Liverpool Football Club" written on it.

Wenger talking about how he believed his players should have solidarity with everyone playing for each other (doesn't explain ozil). Klopp is just talking about Istree. He's gone full Liverpool.
Klippety is releasing his inner Pulis!

Be honest with yourself, you’re only hammering home this point because City are so far away from Liverpool. If the tables were turned, there is absolutely no chance you would be lamenting the poor quality of the league.
That’s true . The problem is they have had a perfect season where everything has fallen into place from injuries to key opposition players such as ederson before we played them , Kane , rashford to them getting no injuries to key players apart from there keeper . Then every team has missed sitters until the game is won then the opposition scores . And also don’t forget we have won the last two titles so our hunger is not there but the hunger from Liverpool is unreal and on another level . The league quality is still there though

I would dispute that there have been no injuries to our key players - certainly not to the same extent as City, but we played for the best part of a month with just two fit centre halves, lost our goalkeeper for nearly a quarter of the season and were without Fabinho during our busiest period.

I’m not on a wind-up - I just wanted to come on dispute some of the things being said. Perhaps it’s only natural for you all to try and make excuses for Liverpool being better so far this season (I remember last season we had supporters doing the same, suggesting you were cheating because you had assembled a great squad by spending money) but surely there has to be some acceptance that the team who wins the league does so because they’ve been the best team over a long stretch of games? Would City have been 1st with Laporte and Sané considering the amount of games Liverpool have won?

I think the gap would be smaller if Sane and Laporte had been fit, but our problems this season run a bit deeper than injuries alone. Plus you can’t really legislate for a team only dropping two points at this stage of the season. Obviously you deserve the title this year.

And that's one of the sad things from a Liverpool supporter's perspective. It's likely that your consistency would have resulted in your winning the league even without VAR but we'll never know.

Yep, if they win it there will always be an asterisk against it in the record books.

Are you sure about that ?
No of course there won’t.
There should be a wider discussion in the media as to why you managed to get so many tight decisions go your way, why your manager gets praise for doing something that our ex manager got vilified for, why VAR seems to favour your club above all others, how that shithouse of a fullback has only managed to receive one yellow this season, how all ex players or well known fans (yes, Coady Conor I’m looking at you) seem to forget how to play when up against you, and finally how your owners seem to be morally corrupt both here and in the states.
Other than that, fair play for winning the league.

Well you must know a lot of people. A couple you have not spoke to are 2 Everton fans I know quite well who think we deserve to win the league. You 100% sure that City would be top without VAR ?
Don't really think there's much point to this type of pedantry tbh. Most City fans I know think Liverpool deserve to win the league.

Pretty much agree they deserve to win the league, but without VAR, or with it used impartially and correctly, we CERTAINLY wouldn't be 22 points adrift, and i honestly don't think it would have been over yet!
