Wise words young Karen xIt is not easy to win the domestic treble, you have to be all in and commit to it,what we did was amazing, they are finding out only the best teams can do it

Surely that's implicit. Everyone knows that. :-)And knowledgeable don't forget the knowledgeable
Not quite, there is a W in there against West Ham, but it should also have been a L.Last 3 results in all comps: LLL.

I suspect it has a lot to do with the CL rather than the PL, Atletico is going to be a tough ask next week imho, 3 of the last 4 games they haven't scored, and they must next week, and without conceding.Yeah, it was a really odd decision to not go full strength last night, given how far in front they are in the league. The Carabao Cup was perhaps more understandable in the circumstances, but no excuse not to go for the FA Cup.

I'm hoping they end up limping there, whilst looking over their shoulder, lets hope they lose next week against Atletico, and that we can beat them at home. I'm with others, I don't think they've been that great, just incredibly consistent in results, lets hope the next 3 months they find a new consistency.Klopp doesn’t go full strength because he knows the teams limit and, although he’ll never admit it, he is terrified of bottling the league again.
They’ll win the league, that’s a given but if they don’t break the 100 points barrier that’s enough for ke
Sadly (not in a sad about it way) that commitment last season has cost us a bit this season mentally and physically, yet we've won one, and are currently still in two competitions. It is not easy to win the domestic treble, you have to be all in and commit to it,what we did was amazing, they are finding out only the best teams can do it

Thanks, forgot that in my dotage. Not quite, there is a W in there against West Ham, but it should also have been a L.
Yep we looked knacked this season,i didn't expect us to keep it up for a third season though,if we win a couple of cups i will be happySadly (not in a sad about it way) that commitment last season has cost us a bit this season mentally and physically, yet we've won one, and are currently still in two competitions.
We set the benchmarks with our Centurions season and followed it up with another record breaking season but let’s have it right, if any of the sky/super Sunday/big 4 had capped off such an upward trajectory with those two seasons you would literally never ever hear the end of it. You only have to read the articles this week following the dippers loss to Watford solemnly declaring the dippers challenge to the invincibles record was over even though they managed a record breaking 18 on the bounce, hang on , no that’s right literally no mention of the team that set the record. City’s achievements are null and void in fact they now have the ammunition they were waiting for with UEFA’s efforts , asterisks at the ready, to delete the past decade and pretend it never happenedLiverpool fans will rightly say that the only thing that matters for them this season is the league, but it goes to show how difficult 100 points/unbeaten/trebles (classic or domestic or cup) are, and those are now the markers for "best premier league teams" of all time. If they go on to do 100 points + or a double, then fair play to them. We were lucky for stretches in our runs, particularly in the centurion season, but I do agree with posters that say the Liverpool of the run in last year were stronger, and I do have a feeling that now they've picked up a few defeats a few more will come.
Have the press been talking up "treble" talk? It always felt like whenever we got to January that was all Pep was asked, but I must admit I don't pay much attention.
Player of the decade don't you know.........I've now heard them cite the injury of Henderson as a reason for this little blip. The greatest team the world has ever seen is unable to cope with a minor muscle injury to Jordan fucking Henderson!
Looks like they've hit a wall, their form has dropped right off. Unfortunately its come too late to catch them.I can't believe we are 22 points behind this lot after watching the game against Chelsea last night.
Thought they were only allowed to wear that little golden iron on "champions of the universe" badge ONCE in each competition (informed of it on here so it may not be true); but they wore it against Everton in the last round and again against Chelsea last night.
UEFA won't be happy, surely they're looking into this and are preparing a two year European ban for stepping outside of the stipulated rules.

Great post, something the press never picked up on.We came within 3 games of lifting 5 trophies last season, whilst chasing down a team above us on an incredible 14 match unbeaten run, we didn’t throw any cups, to get there either, that is the sign of a great team
