Yep. They're chatting shit as per usual. Also, what they fail to realise is that we have a policy of never looking to sell key players at their peak for large sums of money. Sane is the only one and that was because he wanted to go, and we'd have gotten way more for him than we did if that dirty fucker hadn't put him out for the best part of a season during the Community Shield.Yeah and it's totally wrong. We didn't spend 153m on Dias and Torres for starters and sold Sane for more than 16m.
Over at Liverpool, they were more than happy to cash in on Suarez, Sterling, and Coutinho for the thick end of a quarter of a billion quid whereas we've been more than happy to let club legends Kompany, Zabaleta, Yaya, and Silva (and soon Aguero by the looks of it) see out their best years at the club and leave for nothing at the end of their final contract. We'll probably do the same with De Bruyne too, yet if we'd cashed in on those players while they were at their peak (as they did with the 3 I previously mentioned) then we'd have banked several hundred million, bought replacements with the proceeds, and all of a sudden that net spend figure comes down by a huge amount. With the squad we currently have, we could easily sell 2 or 3 players, smash the world record for the highest negative net spend in a season, have an open-top bus tour to celebrate, and still compete for the title the following season. But we won't because we're not a club who cashes in on our assets which in turn weakens our squad, just so we can wave our net spend dicks around and tell everyone we're doing things the "right way" (whatever the fuck that means)
