The amount of help Liverpool get is a joke. The red card Felipe got last night is one of the strangest decisions I've ever seen. Completely killed the game. The support they got in the game at Ahtelti's ground too.

That's why they do so well in this competition. Nothing to do with fans.

Thought that was a good decision - purposely stamped on the back of his heel then completely ignored the ref and refused to walk over to him after countless times the ref tried to get him over.
was nice to see the athletico players face when that red come out.

would of just gave the yellow if he didn’t keep ignoring the ref.

UEFA later clarified it was not for Felipe's ignorance, but for the challenge on Mane. That challenge was not worthy of a red card in anyone's head. Not sure why VAR didn't intervene though as I thought they looked at all red cards.

that's disappointing - I would of liked it to have been for the challenge and the ignorance

I think what you said in your previous post was correct. I think the referee is clearly going to give him a yellow (which was the right decision), but given Felipe doesn't come and stand a yard away from him, the referee goes on a power trip and upgrades it to a red (under the cover of 'I was always going to give a red').

My point is that I've see that happen hundreds of times, and it just so happens that the referee finally brandishes a red card to the benefit of Liverpool. Do you honestly think he'd have done that if it was Henderson who'd committed the foul? No chance!
