every pundit has said that was a joke to give it. But what about second goal, how can you not give offside when player in offside position makes a deliberate attempt to touch the ball. That should not even need VAR.

Was on way home from work listening to the game. Still to actually see "the penalty" but from the sound of it on the radio, the abolute disbelief from the commentators, I suspect I will be shaking my head at the refs decision.
I confess I did also smile a little knowing that it would simply strengthen the conspiracy arguements on here.

Still makes little difference to the league in my view though. I cannot see City losing 2 more games in what remains of the season. Even if you did, Liverpool simply are not good enough to go on a run of straight wins like City.

Have to disagree. This big toothed **** comes out with every excuse under the sun whenever his team under perform(wind, referees,injuries, etc) I want a manager like Pep who is honest and admits when his team has not been as good as it should.

He’s an egomaniac in that he believes in the fawning praise he receives from the media, and an apologist for FSG and their lack of investment. I will never forgive his “it’s a bad day for football” quote when we were exonerated by CAS.

His credibility would have gone up today if he had said that it was never a penalty but he said the referee’s know what they are doing and must have come to the correct decision.

TBH I couldn’t give a monkeys about today, I even said it’s probably good as we switched off when the league was won early last season.
I guess my rant is more at the perpetual ”state owned” shit Klopp and co throw at us, and I know there are decent LFC fans out there. BTW I have always been supportive of the fans at Hillsbrough, at the time football fans were treated like scum.
