right, after listening to the arguments for and against liverpool i have come to a judgement , a judgement that cant be questioned by anyone

my conclusion is liverpool are guilty of underhandedness , and the motive if you bothered to look for it @domalino but for some reason have tried to hide it is quite simple
liverpool are scouse yes or no
all scousers are bent as fuck yes or no
there for they are guilty of being bent as fuck, and they do things for their own reason and get away with it all the time, and @domalino you would argue black is white ,because that's what you do,you are an angry and naughty little puppy and i find you in contempt of my court and sentence you to 100 lines

They tested positive before the Chelsea game on the 2nd, and were still isolating for the Arsenal match on the 6th.

Yes they tested positive on the first and would have been able to play after returning a negative test 5 days later.

Well Matip didn't come back to training until the 7th, and Allison and Firmino were still in isolation on the 7th, so I'll stick with a motive.

This is another one of those half truths that's the conspiracy wing of the forum has run with. FSG haven't got a history of cheating, they employed a coach who was found to be cheating when he managed another team.

You accusing Liverpool of cheating because the Red Sox were tangentially related to a scandal is like RAWK thinking everyone at City dopes because Pep failed a drugs test in Italy.

And that's still not a motive for Liverpool delaying a game when they got no benefit from it. No less congestion, no players back, and Arsenal did get players back.

Was it not their attempt to cover up the story the reason they were called out for this?

And, unless the premier league has different rules, if they tested positive on the 1st, their 5 days starts on the 2nd. So they would have been isolating until midnight on the 6th anyway.

Didn’t they do the test and they were negative then the next day so then again for no reason?

No. FFS this is not true, just look it up it's not that hard.

The Houston Astros scandal came to light when he'd left and joined the Red Sox. The news came out, he got fired, then a big investigation into him found the Red Sox were breaking some rules about what was shown on video replays but they weren't cheating from it.

I just read up a bit to aid my failing memory. Is this not what happened?

2017: Cora sign-stealing at Houston.

2017: Boston using videos to sign-steal and Apple watches to communicate (before Cora). Investigated in 2017, fined and rules changed to make electronic communication explicitly illegal.

2018: Players entering video replay room to pass sign-stealing from operator/ analyst to dugout. Investigated in 2020 and sanctioned.

2020: Houston sign-stealing exposed, Cora sacked.

2020: Cora re-appointed.

Still sounds like Boston found to be cheating and punished twice to me. Oh, and hiring people they know to be cheats.
