I've seen a few people on here who want us to go down.

Not gonna lie, I'm dreading the Villa game. Not just because it's a must-win for City, but because of Gerrard's role in it.
I don't want Everton to go down per se

I'd rather Leeds to be honest. I do, however, admit I think it would be funnier if Everton went down out of the alternatives.

And if he'd got the Thursday slot like Chelsea, he'd be moaning about the Thursday-Sunday gap before the final game being too short. Always got something to whinge about, hasn't he?

Some moron on that thread on Twitter saying that it's not fair because their FA Cup game went to extra time and penalties. So apparently they should rearrange a game that is already scheduled to make up for the fact that they were incapable of scoring a goal in 120 minutes of football, so that they have a better chance of beating a team that is 13 places below them in the league.

Partly because of the amount of money they've spent trying to get into Europe.

Come on Southampton if you win or get a point tonight , I promise you will be my second favourite team. Until the next time you take points off us. Then I will hate you all over again!!!!

They're already my second favourite team for all those times they fucked over the rags. Especially the infamous grey kit incident.

Didn't like Everton after the Lescott thing, they also annoyed me with the moaning after our covid postponement and the Rodri handball.

So I'm not too fussed which of the three go down.

The only good thing about Everton is they also hate Liverpool

They've been bitter towards us for years, including the infamous letter on top of the incidents you mentioned

They could use a humbling

Liverpool are winning their last two games. They've got enough even with injuries to turn these 2 teams over quite easily (not that they ever spend money, its all academy boys and scousers in that team ;) . Sure, we'd love it if they dropped a bollock against Southampton but realistically it aint happening. They tend to "find a way" and have done over the past 2 months, when the "rocknroll" football has gone a little folk pop.
And when they lose their way, up steps the ref and VAR .. 3 or 4-0 to the dippers tonight Southampton won’t turn up, they are not playing City …!!

Check the facts you say.

1. We have never killed our own nor fans of our opponents and blamed others
2. We have never trashed an opponent's coach to the extent it was a write off
3. We have never chucked flares onto disabled away fans
4. We have never worn t-shirts supporting a racist
5. We have never booed a member of royalty nor the national anthem of the UK
6. We have never had our own supporters filmed masturbating in fountains
7. We have never gone on twitter and proudly boasted about robbing service stations
8. We have never dropped a lump of concrete on a Bulgarian waiter and then denied all knowledge of it

Do you want any more facts or is this enough to be going on with
We have never had T Shirts printed and had fans wear them, stating they were PL Champions … Then bottled it …!

Will watch the game tonight but no doubt the outcome will be comparable to when you were a kid and a play was on the BBC and you thought the tasty bird was going to get her tits out but it never happened.....Come on the Saints !!

there are some demented types over at rawk,...

I think they might have actually peaked under Ped. Buying expensive, quality players is one thing; being able to assemble them into a team is another.

I think that, over time, as Ped's team transitions from one he inherited to one he has built, the team ethic degrades; especially as his fragile mindset becomes imprinted on the side, even though it's full of individually brilliant and capable players.

When Klopp buys a player, he's looking two or three seasons down the line, and uses that time to integrate them. Ped seems to buy as and when needed, to fulfill an immediate need, with little forward thinking or planning.

When you consider how Diaz might develop over three seasons at City, compared to how we know he will develop at Liverpool over the same period, you get the idea.
