This season could’ve been an unmitigated disaster with a scouse quad and us trophyless. It’s gone very much the other way with Haaland inbound and Salah/Mane futures very uncertain.

Drink it in. Uphill from here for us IMO, downhill for the Scouse.

I believe if any English team is to do a quad anytime soon, it’ll be us under Pep.

Liverpools best ever team in special season saw them fail to score a single goal in 3 finals, fail to out score a side with no striker despite having the best 5 forwards in the world, fail to keep more clean sheets or concede less goals than city despite having the greatest back 4 and keeper the worlds ever seen and fail to beat a single top 4 side during the entire season. All whilst being managed by the manager of the year, having next to no real injury concerns and having extremely favourable officiating and the easiest champions league final path you will see. Their season is a spectacular failure in so many ways.
