Them booing the anthem just feeds into their own victim stereotype. The whole socialist propaganda that they try to generate despite their original owner being a Conservative. I don't even try to fathom them out any more. A mass of hypochrisy from start to finish.
Plus they are currently owned by an American billionaire (plus his cohort), the apotheosis of corporate capitalism.

Simple solution to the verminous rats booing the anthem is stop picking any of the victims players for England. Their captain and one or two others would soon change their tune. 95% of the morons have zero idea why they do it, they just join in because the are thick and in a cult nobody wants to be different.

Liverpool should be given independence. Build a 50 foot wall around it and give them what they want. They can all sit around singing YNWA, not working and live out their spouse utopia. They won’t be missed. They are the most disgusting fan base I’ve experienced, worse than the rags tbh.
Better still, cut the rope & let the whole feckin place drift off into the Irish Sea. Set of twats. Booing the National Anthem is completely unacceptable, no matter what your political persuasion may be.

Hypocracy is the word. Manchester has a stronger socialist heritage Also a better irish expat exoerience. They treated irish catholics terriblty..my grandad being one. Moston Manchester became tbe home he loved

Classless c*nts are one of the few major English clubs that have still not congratulated the England Women for winning the Euros.

Everyday I wake up and think “Liverpool can’t possible make me dislike them more” and then, miraculously, they up and find a novel way to make me dislike them more.

Love him or loathe him, Boris was right about the scousers. The booing of the national anthem just re enforces the negative image the city of Liverpool has. 30 miles down the road, Manchester very similar to Liverpool is now a burgeoning tech hub. with over a million SQ FT of prime office space under construction, and another dozen 100 metre plus tall residential skyscrapers being built. Will they ask themselves why this is not happening in Liverpool ?.

They tried to build more in Liverpool but the locals kept nicking the copper wiring.

How about all competitions more recently? We lose to them more than any other team…maybe Spurs. Who has beaten us more?

Liverpool's H2H advantage in all compets is down to 3 games back in 2018: 4:3 (PL), 3:0 (CL) and 1:2 (CL).

After those 3 games, from October 2018 to April 2022 Liverpool had 1 (!) win in 10 games (3:1 2019). City had 4 wins in the same period, one after pens (CS 2019).

Basically, after April 2018, the H2H is about level, with City dominating in the PL and Liverpool in the cups (due to the last 2 wins).

You make a great point. Liverpool and its council is mired in corruption hence the recent arrest of its mayor Joe Anderson and his cabal on suspicion of allegedly taking sweeteners on construction contracts. My dad used to drive a lorry for a living and has told me that he used to have to pay a union 'tax' to either collect or drop goods off at the docks at Seaforth. My brother in law is the finance director of the scaffolding firm set up by his father and uncles and has told me if they win a contract in Liverpool before they can begin any scaffolding they have to pay the right 'security' firm their fee otherwise any scaffolding put up goes missing until payment is made.
