More bollocks on here today depending on your viewpoint on the royal family or your political inclinations. Criticism of the booing isn't about that. It's about hypocrisy and its about being respectful of others.

And as for the justifications from those on here. All bollocks. Rich man, stupid man, establishment, Tories, pedophile, no taxes, undemocratic, Empire. Did I miss any? Doesn't matter. Protest as much as you like. But do it respectfully of others who don't share your view, especially on solemn occasions/celebrations. As you would expect others to do, on occasions that are important to you.

That's the nub of it, really.

I am atheist, I'm not a fan of the national anthem being so religious. I don't sing it. But I don't begrudge others that do. I'm not anti-monarchy, but if they disappeared it wouldn't change anything for me.

I also respect other people's right to not agree with the monarchy. But, those people should let others observe their democratic right to celebrate it without the boos.

Scousers can't take the moral high ground on perceived "tragedy chanting" and next thing boo the anthem other people hold dearest of all. There is a time and place, and today wasn't it.

Didn’t expect anything else from the outcasts of England. They need to leave the UK and go fully independent. I see the media are panicking about their rancid dippers reputation in the world by trying to justify and reason their hatred for this country.

I fucking hate Liverpool.

I hate their fans. I hate their manager, I hate their players, I hate their upper management, I hate their sponsors, I hate their lot, I hate their stadium, I hate their murders, I hate their arrogance, I hate their protected victim status, I hate that literally no one with a platform can call them out for fear of retaliation, I hate klopps teeth, I hate their team bus, I hate their ex players, I hate their stupid badge, I hate their motto, I hate their jungle, I hate their merchandise, I hate Van Dick, I hate the way they got away with that transfer Saga, I hate the name “Kop” I hate that they call themselves “kopites” I hate the fact they have fans, I hate that every team has to be subject to you never walk alone. I hate every blade of grass on the field, I hate Every seat in that stadium, I hate the color red, I hate when they get a win(l, I hate it when they get a draw, I hate it that they haven’t gone insolvent and sold for scrap and the wreckage danced upon, I hated them before the booing, I hate them after the booing

God I fucking hate Liverpool.

That’s my new national anthem.
Can I just throw in Clare Sweeney - she's been on BBC North West news most days this last week in connection with the Eurovision, described as a ''Brookside Legend''.
The sooner that sing a long is over the better. Scousers self publicising that shit hole.

How much does this royal coronation cost the British taxpayers?
£50-£100m according to the BBC

How many foodbanks would that keep going for a year?

Oh the irony of wasting £50-£100m when it could have been spent on foodbanks.

we boo the champs league anthem because its representative of UEFA a body we despise. Sorry but booing the anthem because you have the South of the country makes no sense at all. Are they of the opinion that the Royal Family failed to investigate Hillsborough? I am old enough to remember when in Manchester we were angry that "the South" in the form of Hesteltine post riots when we felt ignored. We didn't boo the anthem. I can understand the annoyance but I just don't get how the "fix" is to boo the National Anthem. Just ignore it - turn your backs if you must and try and be more creative about how a direct display of displeasure can be done.

How would your husband feel if every group of away fans made such a noise they drowned out YNWA?
It’s difficult mate , the man with the volume button just turns it up louder through the speakers.
