Yeah, I don't get the moaning about injuries. They bought Thiago knowing that he's never played over 30 league games in his career (which is why he was so cheap) and then they're moaning that he's injured. Great teams learn to deal with it, especially when it's entirely predictable. It's not as if we haven't had to win titles without KDB, Kompany or Aguero for large parts of a season.

But especially in the midfield, their succession planning hasn't been good. They've got the kids, Jones and Elliot, but other than them, everyone's over 27. And of the players they've brought in to be the longer-term replacements for Henderson, Milner and Wijnaldum, only Fabinho has really shown he's at the right standard. There's also the issue that these over-30s players were never world class. It's one thing to have a 31 year-old KDB or Mahrez (or Salah), but it's quite another to have players like Henderson and Milner, who were always more reliant on the physical side of their game rather than their footballing talent.

They've seemingly started to rebuild their forward line and they've brought in Konate who should give them a lot of years at the back if he reaches the standard they hope. But the midfield is badly in need of investment.

Ive read they are all in for Jude Bellingham, would he improve them significantly?
