Liverpool are far from their best and their injuries particularly in midfield are really hampering their progress. With the granddad's playing and performances not going well they are in real danger of their momentum grinding to a halt.

Diaz has a bit of spark but and Nunez looks like he might be fun to watch BUT even after a last minute winner and a 9-0 win it all feels a bit boring. They don't seem to have the same drive like they used to and if Salah doesn't find some goals soon I wonder how long the fans will put up with his grins when he misses.

They feel like a team in need of a purpose and inspiration. Being plucky underdogs to money bags city isn't cutting it anymore and even Klopp's comments about clubs being owned by countries feels worn out and over used. Despite getting the late winner yesterday it wasn't really the result of overwhelming Scouse desire or quality but Newcastle being knackered.

Said it a couple of games ago, there season isnt sustainable this year, the games they've won have absolutely drained them (bar Bournemouth) and its 100 mile an hour for 90 mins. They'll drop more points being gassed and pick up more injuries. The only time they won the league, they controlled the tempo and settled for the points after 30 mins most games.
