FSG tried their hardest to further rig English football in their favour.

FFP, Project Big Picture, the European Super League.

They failed at every turn.

We have beaten them on the pitch and off it, and doesn't it taste sweet.
Absolutely 100% this
And they have the absolute gall and audacity to accuse City of being cheats
Reminds me of The Sting when Robert Shaw’s violent, entitled, homicidal poker cheat is taken down by Newman and Redford

Get yourself on twitter. It's wall to wall Ronaldo fanboys. They support the player, not the club. It's a weird viewpoint, it really is. Reminds me of when Edin was playing for us. This place was clogged up with Bosnians. Woe betide if you dared to criticise him. As soon as he left, they vanished "like a fart in the wind".
We had that with Turks and Cenk Tosun. You could always tell if he was starting for us or not by the amount of angry reacts from Turks when the line-up for the day was announced on Facebook, and they used to get super touchy about any criticism of him too.

I don't get supporting players either. I have my faves, like Pickford and Calvert-Lewin, but I wouldn't support Sunderland if Pickford went there. The clubs outlast the players. What happens when they retire, you just pick someone else? Loads of these Ronaldo fanboys aren't even Spanish or Portuguese, they're from all over the place.

I could have sworn everyone talks about gegenpress and instant attacks with balls over the top with regards to Liverpool… must be a different Liverpool being talked about by Warnock with this ‘patience’…
I genuinely think it’s completely fair to say that no human being has ever talked about Liverpool’s patience.

If they had any sense they would. There's even space to build a brand new stadium next to Elland Road so they wouldn't have to fuck about extending Elland Road whilst still using it, plus a railway line running straight past as well as direct access to the motorway network and the main ring roads in Leeds. If I was a multi-billionaire looking to invest, Leeds would be my first stop.
If it was an American billionaire couldn’t they buy both franchises and merge them into Leeds red birds or something & piss off both sets fans simultaneously

I know you'll say; "well, he would say that, wouldn't he?", but anyway. I can’t fathom why L***s are seen as a "big" club. They've won 3 league titles*, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup and 2 Inter City Fairs Cups. They seem to pretty consistently average crowds in the mid 30ks down the years. Not bad, but it is a one club town. Not having a pop at you, by the way. They're seen as big by the footballing world. I'm just puzzled as to how they've attained that status

*3 league titles isn't shabby, by the way. Better than the majority of clubs in the top division. But if you look at what is referred to now as the "top 6" clubs, only Spurs (2) have less top flight titles.

But then; I would say that, wouldn't I?

:-)
Probably seen as big because when our generation were growing up and becoming aware of football they were one of the most successful clubs in the country with a team that was literally robbed of the European Cup in 1975 in one of the biggest scandals in European football history. Although before 1965 they were nowhere and went back into obscurity in the 1980s before being a force again in the 1990s.

The latest sermon from the gift that keeps on giving, the Liverpool thought bank
We have a £50 million reserve keeper. The Liverpool Academy is the cradle of English Football

23 year old, straight-up £50 million abilities. We need to get Caoimihn Kelleher out on loan and let him light up the league and Europe. Because I'm can trust that our academy has Harvey Davies already lined up and ready for the big time.

What goes on in our academy is literally the reason why Premier League has been competitive last 5 years. We are nowhere near Man City in terms of budget but it's the academy that keeps us in the fight. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Caoimihn Kelleher, Curtis Jones, Calvin Ramsay, Nat Phillips, Rhys Williams, Neco Williams, Harvey Elliott, Fabio Carvalho. There's just a countless number of times these players have turned the tables on the big stage and kept the league competitive. And there's more lined up - Kaide Gordon, Ben Doak, Bajcetic.

This Is Melwood

I predicted this would happen, almost tongue in cheek really but also serious such is the levels of delusion in that cult, but even I thought they'd hold off at least a few months before claiming the likes of elliot, carvalho and ramsey who have never played in their academy as players from their academy.

They've named 10 players there from their "cradle of English football" 6 of them were bought in, most after making debuts elsewhere, 4 came through their academy and only 1 players regularly for them.

Bazunu, karius, Trippier, Mee, Tosin, larios, Lavia, Luiz, Sancho, Edozie, brooks, Iheanacho all currently playing in the Premier league having been with City at academy level. I've probably missed a few off and that's without even mentioning the ones actually playing for us already and the highly thought of kids out on loan, and then you've got the many more playing at top leagues in europe. That far eclipses anything the Liverpool academy have produced and we can't even stand up against what Chelsea's academy have churned out in recent times.

This is melwood? This is make believe.

Pushing it with Iheanacho tbh mate, wouldn't claim him as an academy player.

Let’s suppose a Dubai group buy them and they continue to play second fiddle to us. What’s the excuse then?

It’s a fantastic view into an alternative universe reading The Liverpool Thought Bank. The crying about our penalty on Saturday was delicious.

On their amazing youth policy, baring Gomez and Alexander Arnold non of those players have had any impact on what they have done in the last five years. Carvalho was bought from Fulham in the summer, they are almost as bad as the rags for claiming they have a good youth set up when they buy most of them in. If they are all about promoting youth why have they still got Milner turning out for them and their ageing squad of busted flushes?

If this crop of players they put out last night are so talented, why couldn’t they score in normal time against a 3rd tier side that has faced administration recently? Last time Klopp put the youth in they got gupped five nil off Aston Villa. They are a strange group of supporters who think they are the bestest in the world at everything, when the evidence says they aren’t.

They have moved from Melwood to Kirby.

The AXA training centre which is not popular with the players because they say it is too windy.

Always the victims.

The best in the world, yet 'cant compete'. Not sure how they square that circle unless of course 'Abu Dhabi' are paying off all the officials.
