At Guiseley we take a lot of players who are dropped from professional academies. They go to college and play in our Under 19's etc.

The academy coaches are great.

Funny though academy released players are oftebmn technically good but don't have the balls to mix it in top non leagues Vanarama conf and north and south. You need to be able to look after yourself in those leagues. I think Brentford were right, fk academies off. Pretty poor returns for all the money and effort
