I don't understand their hate of the royal family.

They claim they boo the national anthem because the way Hillsborough was handled and the managed decline that thatcher planned.

Both of them are related to the government of the time and absolutely nothing to do with the royal family.

Prince Charles and Diana were amongst the first group of people to visit survivors in the Sheffield hospitals. Diana spent a lot of time speaking privately to injured fans and fans' families. It was the politicians who behaved despicably and tried to exploit the situation for their own gain. Thatcher, and especially Bernard Ingham, knew full well there was a lot of capital to be gained by sticking the boot into football fans (especially LFC fans who were a convenient target). And so did the tabloid press. I am not a Royalist incidentally.

I think that difference is too complicated for your average scouser to unravel.

The argument that the royal family bring on loads of money through tourism is a myth. The country that hosts the most tourists every year is France and they haven't had a king for over 200 years. Vive la revolution!!

There are plenty of good reasons for abolishing the monarchy but this is not one of them.
You mention France(probably the worst example you could make) who changed things 200+ years ago and the Palace of Versailles is one of their top tourist attractions.
Whatever anyone's take on the royals,they do interest tourists and it does bring in revenue,not that this is a justification for continuing to have them.

Plus France is a country literally joined to the European continent. Disneyland Paris receives 12 million visitors per year.

As you rightly point out, you can't just glibly point out that France has more tourism than the royals that would ne like saying the UK has more cheese than Paris ;)
