How does one revert to square pegs in round holes after last season?

Why is Ings playing wide, let alone as a wing-back? Does Rodgers know that Ings is a CENTER FORWARD?

Will Sturridge and Coutinho be played as wingers when they return?

Why is Benteke being isolated like Balotelli and Lambert? Why can't Coutinho or Firmino play behind Benteke, or why can't he be partnered with Sturridge, Ings or Origi?

Why is our apparent solution for the season at left-back an 18-year old centerback?

Why is he playing a formation ideal for wingers and then sending Markovic out on loan?

Why was Lllori loaned out with an option to buy when our center-backs are either calamities, injury prone, and only in the squad because they are "old and make jokes in the dressing room"?

Even Messi and Ronaldo are not "guaranteed" a specific position, so why was Milner promised and guaranteed a starting role in his preferred position?

Why in the fourth season are " players are still learning and adapting to how we work."?

Those are admittedly fair questions. Not sure you'll like the answers. I say that with no snark.

It gets more and more evident that Brendan rode suarez's coat-tails to that second place finish. im really cottoning on to @gordondaviesmoustache assumption that Brendan is a social experiment and is not an actual football manager.

Rawk are laying into Brenda but Milner is getting it big style
Nail on head for me is this classic quote

"
And don't even get me started on Milner. He's not half the player Kuyt was, yet he's the captain and the second most well-paid player in the history of the club.
Kuyt would have been a shite center mid, too.

Just a Pity some City fans didn't rumble Milner after just five games

Jimmy Milner was a very good player for Manchester City.

His ability to play in several positions made him an invaluable member of our squad.

Though he was never good enough to hold down a regular first-team, he proved his worth over and over again.

Apart from that you don't look bad

It's because you're "In Transition" (again?) according to MotD.

Whatever the hell that means...

Via RAWK: I think this guy has the solution to their problem - Although I'm not 100% sure you can play 12 vs 11?

Given our horrendous form I wouldn't actually mind seeing Gomez-Sakho partnered at CB for the next league game. Something like :

Mig
Clyne Gomez Sakho Moreno
Lucas Milner
Ibe Hendo Firmino
Benteke Ings

Lucas and Milner are good enough defensively to shield our back 4. Henderson is our main man when it comes to delivery and assists, so he needs to be up the field where he can put his passing to use. His pressing up the pitch, along with Ings' work rate and Benteke being a monster will actually scare a lot of defenses I think. There's enough pace in Ibe and Moreno that if we need to counter attack, we can. The only question marks are whether Gomez and Sakho are good enough together at CB - they can't be much worse than what we have to be honest. Similarly, is Moreno a liability at LB, well I think it's a sacrifice you make in order to get the best out of players elsewhere. Wouldn't be averse to seeing Enrique back in the side either, our LB's are all equally average
