Rather than Rodgers actually coach the players he bought last seaso he's just put them to one side and bought another load - none of which look particularly good. That, coupled with sacking some/all of his back room staff makes for a difficult start to the season, escpecially as they were hardly solid last season

They haven't been able to defend for 2 years or more and they let 3 goals in each of the last 2 matches against, let's be honest, pretty average teams

Good assessment of Milners performance in the MOS:

"One paced. Currently missing Manchester City more than visa-versa"

Their next few games are Norwich (H), Villa (H) then Everton (A). If they screw up either of the home games (and incredibly they haven't beaten Villa at home since 2010) and Everton do to them what the rags did yesterday then Bodger is truly fucked.

Milner's move to the red scouse will hopefully serve as an example to any footballer thinking about how they'd like to get "starts in their favourite position". Be careful what you wish for.

If Luckaku plays like he did yesterday, he'll tear Liverpool apart
They've spent a fortune and their best defender is Skertl and thier goalkeeper in Mingulet. That should tell them all they need to know about thier chances this season

Dilemma for the owners. Which option will cost less getting rid of Mr R. or persevering with the decline.

Seems this is not what they bought LFC for. They insisted on FFP to preserve their initial investment so things are going decidedly pear shaped for them financially.

They look like an average team and have played like it. Milner is a decent player like many before him that look better because of the things that the world class players did. Even with that he was always better on the wing. Benteke and Coutinho will probably do enough spectacular things for them to finish top 6. I don't understand why Sakho does not play. Rodgers has wasted a lot of money and Klopp could be his replacement.

Ha enjoyed this one

"We got a goal! and away from home, against a rival. A massive improvement on the last game, the lads even managed to get a few shots on target this run out, looked quite solid at the back, no major Lovren fuck-up. Signs of a recovery following the trouncing by West Ham clear to see."
Delusion alert!
