F’ing Liverpool. For years they have dreamed of getting ahead of the rags and over the last 3 years the door has been opened. All they need to do is walk through it. What do they do - curl up in a ball and cry. The club has no backbone to it and it annoys me as I personally want them to finish above yonited every year. Pathetic season from them already.

- Actually blow them out the water in one season and actually pass them. And the following season, lose our world class star and buy Lallana and Markovic and Balotelli because THEY will be the ones to slay the dragon.

- Capitulate at the end of last season even when we STILL had every chance of passing them for fourth even after we lost at their place.

- Not do what it takes to get Klopp or Ancelotti. I know about being realistic, but I also feel the club is disqualifying itself. Make them say no several times.

As you say, the failure from our club to pass the rags when we had the chance is one of the worst disasters and show of incompetence in the history of the EPL from any club I'd say. I'm starting to think that our suits don't even seriously want to pass the rags.

Its not the players it's the manager.
Go through some of their players, they actually have players that you would expect to be performing.
Moreno, Sakho, Lovren looked class at Saints and was a very good youngster at Lyon, midfield they have Can, Coutinho and Henderson, Sturridge and Benteke up front.

Markovic, Balotelli and ASPAS are apparently looking good away.

Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding, we have a winner folks!!

FSG I suspect couldn't give a shit whether Liverpool finish ahead of, or behind, United. As long as they bring in more money than they spend, and are able to maintain the "value" in the club then they're fairly happy. They'd like a top 4 position, as the revenue open to a club for finishing in the Champion's League positions is so much higher than those who just miss out, so they want top 4, but their aims don't go as high as winning the league, or finishing ahead of "rivals" United. In that sense FSG and the Glazers are very similar, spend, but only to a degree, win, but only to the point where it doesn't affect profits. Liverpool FC, and Manchester United FC, are businesses first and foremost, and football clubs as a second thought. Thankfully Manchester City are being viewed as both a business AND a football club equally, with the aims of both given equal weighting.

Translation - "We actually blew the 7th placed team out of the water and passed them. Unfortunately, our Roy of the Rovers style skipper's mouth started working better than his feet and no-one had the sense to tell him to reign it in. Then, the racist, biting cheat that we'd pinned our hopes on finally got his wish to leave and fucked off to a club with realistic hopes of winning it's domestic league and our deluded manager decided to replace him with another player with behavioural issues and a completely different playing style. He claimed he could use his man management expertise to get the best out of him but instead, used him as a scapegoat from the very moment he signed.

Translation - "Due to a couple of side issues at the club, we lost a bit of focus and despite nobody appearing to want to finish 4th in the league except us, still managed to bottle it. This was all Raheem Sterling's fault for wanting to further his career. He clearly distracted the whole club to the point where all our past greats were forced to assassinate his character in public at every opportunity. Luckily, our fans were the only people who stayed focussed (apart from the 6-1 defeat at Stoke where we all completely ignored the match to shout untold abuse at the teenager as he warmed up at the side of the pitch) but our manager forgot to unleash us so we couldn't inspire an even better player in Jordan Ibe to guide us to 4th place (or even 5th).
None of this had anything to do with our Roy of the Rovers style skipper and his 6 month farewell tour.

Colin Murray and Danny Murphy both agreeing that "Brendan needs more time" on talkshite just now... unfuckingbelievable.
I agree with them. Keep him there for another twenty years at least.

Bloody hell, Talksport Drive playing The Beatles in the background to explore Liverpool's way back to the top. I'm surprised they haven't got Jimmy Tarbuck and Stan Boardman on. Liverpool is the centre of football, music and comedy after all. History! Sad stuff.

Just saw this.

Dippers played 660 minutes: 5 goals.

Martial played 95 minutes: 4 goals.
