Liverpool v City 1st leg CL Qtr Final post match

He seemed surprised Salah was offside for the first goal, and mentioned Liverpool had a good 15 minutes and we were so, so, so good in the second half. It's not over, we are not favourites but we will try in the second leg
Cheers Blue. I Have faith we can do it. Just feeling choked about the manner of the defeat and giving them twats what they wanted.

I love Pep but he got this one all wrong. Playing Gundogan instead of Bernardo was a complete head scratcher. I cant recall Gundogan influencing the play in any shape or form in the first half and playing without any threat down our right hand side gave Liverpool the luxury of being able to focus on keeping Sane quiet. To make matters worse Liverpools left hand side was always there get out ball. Walker was 2 on 1 for the whole of the first half. Bernardo must be injured but Pep doesn't want to tell us.

Nah, not how I saw it at all. He was very hesitant all the game for some reason. Very poor, but not alone. Jesus was completely anonymous, he needs to apply himself better. Very disappointed. I don’t think we were scared or bottled it, we just played poorly. Saturday can’t come quickly enough for me.

Jesus has a long way to go to reach Aguero level, a long way!

Jesus is incapable of leading the line. Kun has strength in abundance. Like a boy against men. However the selection of gundog was the craziest decision Ive seen in years. Italy's the place for him or New York where they play at half pace. Fuck sake bar the front three they're an average side. we'll need to shit goals on tuesday. lets hope they players are as furious as the fans are at that.

Remind me how Aguero did at Anfield in January?

Yep, I don't know how Pep was outthought when Liverpool did exactly what they did last time and played the way everyone expected.

Like last time, we simply lacked the composure to play our natural game and made school boy mistakes.

The difference this time though, is that we were actually playing our normal game, saw off any Liverpool problems, took over the game & then defended like absolute shithouses with their first breakaway.

Wolves or Bristol would not have conceded that goal. It was piss easy to stop.

The players involved should have a long look at themselves & make sure they do everything to put it right.

Give over mate. It was a collective failure tonight. Always think it's telling when people use performances like that to air grievances against a particular player. How many clear cut chances did we create for him? Do you honestly think Aguero would've changed the outcome tonight single-handedly?
I'll raise on that - if Aguero had been on the pitch during that performance (no matter what he did) then there'd be tons of abuse being heaped on him - I honestly don't get it.

Not sure anyone comes out of tonight with any credit. Pep got the team selection wrong and the players seemed to shit their pants to a man and for 45 mins top players could barely do the basics of the game. But lots of them are young and they're all only human so just got to get behind them on Saturday and Tuesday. It's particularly disappointing to lose to utter scum like Liverpool but unfortunately this tie is pretty much done already imo.
