Hart
Zabaleta, Kompany, Otamendi, Clichy
Fernando, Fernandinho
Navas, Silva, Sterling
Aguero

Balance, pace, creativity, and grift.

It won't happen but I wouldn't mind this to rest some players.

Hart
Zabaleta, Kompany, Otamendi, Angelino
Fernando, A. Garcia
Navas, Silva, Sterling
Iheanacho

I agree with your first team. However the second team is a no no. We can't rest players tonight. I've just been on RAWK and they are not looking forward to it. Basically saying they can't get up for it. So hopefully the atmosphere will be flat and we come out winners.

Rest players? WTF are you on about. This is probably our biggest league game this season. Win tonight and we are back in the race. It's not a night for handing out premier league debuts.

Strongest team please and get the job done.
I am not saying we should rest players because this is an easy match, I am saying we need to rest players because we are going to see some less energetic performances tonight after the last few taxing matches. I also think we could win the match while doing so—Liverpool are going to be even more tired and will have their heads down after our victory, and the young lads I have included have the skill, energy, and drive to drag us over the line.

We won't rest them, of course, but it is going to show more than most believe. I think it is going to be a very slow, open match as both sides struggle to play to their standards (luckily our standards are generally much higher).

Fair enough, but your RAWK assessment is exactly why my second team would likely work just fine (see my response above).

I am fucking nervous about that 4th spot. We need to win anyhow considering even West Ham is in it. Need to get a run of 3 Premier league wins, we can't keep this record of no back to back wins since October going for long if we want to qualify for the CL.

Facing a deflated, half fit Liverpool team a few days after they just lost a cup final? There haven't been many better times than this to play them on their own patch that's for sure. All the momentum will be with us especially as we know a win puts us firmly back in the hunt for the title.

I'd rather see us lose tonight trying to win than steal a point trying not to get beat. We need to get at them from the first whistle, their fans will give up if we score early. I also wouldn't be surprised if Klopp decides to rest a few players tonight to keep them fresh for upcoming Europa League games with our noisy neighbours.

Great we're on BT tonight, so Michael Owen slagging us off for 90 mins with a no doubt a scouse panel of experts.

Plus I'm pretty sure we haven't won a league match on BT this season. That with our anfield record has me a little bit less than confident this evening.

I think we will lose tonight...there...i've said it...If we get anything other that 0 points i'll be very happy
Honestly, I'd be happy with no injuries. I am not as bothered as most about "reigniting our title challenge" it seems and after the minutes our first team have played over the last few weeks I am worried more than most about the risk of injury to Kompany, Silva, and Aguero. Especially against a team looking for retribution.

Massive game, can't forget we have lost our last 2 in the league and won only 4 of the last 10 - awful stats and miles away from title form!
Same team as Sunday but navas in if yaya out will hopefully mean we stretch them.
Could do with a west ham result tonight too.
Come on city.

That's the spirit...
