Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

Youd often wonder why we dont snap these guys up before they move to other clubs. Could of got him at lyon
Probably not worth the risk. Given we are competing for trophies year in and year out it is probably better if they have a larger body work that we can scout thus minimizing the chances of acquiring a dud. We can afford to pay the extra money it costs after they develop further at another club.

Not getting involved in the debate about him being a good signing or not. Only time will tell that if he signs for City. But a lot of West Ham fans don't seem that bothered about losing him. They would rather West Ham take the money and sign one or two other midfield players. The general consensus seems to be he had a good latter part of the season, but was pretty average the rest of the season.

He was never going to be a success in a team managed by Moyes and that was struggling.

I like reading you're comments on here fella. Sorry but this is taking the piss.

Under no circumstances can you think Harry Maguire is a good signing whether it's £30m or a Free Transfer!

He's absolutely shite. The Rags were stupid enough to pay £80m for him that's their fault same way they paid £100m for Pogba. The high price of player doesn't automatically make you good. Conor Coady, Tyrone Mings and Eric Dier all played for England too. They are also bobbins.

Horrendous signing if West Ham buy him.

I think much like some of the opinions of Paqueta, it's about systems. Maguire isn't going to perform in a side that want to play it out from the back and defend with a high line. But at West Ham under Moyes he's ideal. The ball will go long quickly the majority of the time, they'll look to counter and score from set pieces with Ward Prowse, and Maguire is a threat from those. Defensively they'll sit deep and Maguire will be a lot better in that system.

As bad as he's been for the rags, they're shite and he's been the target for a lot of it. £30m is a pretty good deal considering his experience. He's not world class, but he's a good signing for West Ham's level with respect to them. £60m for Maguire and Ward Prowse is good business.

Our bid for Rice suggests we were not prepared for life without Gundogan quite just yet, not even going for Mac Allister, not even Szoboszlai.

also we’re prepared to give Walker a new deal, so why not Gundo?

It’s easy to assume I’ve had some twitter like meltdown calling out Txiki which isn’t even the case, the people here are deflecting in responses.

While we eventually needed to replace Gundogan and Mahrez, given their age, keeping Gundogan wouldn’t have done any harm. We’ll find a solution with or without a Paqueta but looking at the market it’s really hard to argue against keeping him or getting Mac Allister
I don't think Rice was connected to it at all, it was well known we had interest in him.
Probably didn't go for either of them two because they were already going to the dippers. Not particularly fussed in all honesty about them.

So because Walker got one that means Gundogan gets one, how does that work? I guess Walker only got one because Carson got one as well?

City were clearly very happy to keep Gundogan. Fact is, he didn't want to be here. He wants to sit in the sun, eating tapas on his terrace overlooking the Sagrada Família with his wife and child. Not sat in the rain having a tepid tea in deansgate.
