Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

A substantial difference for what roles Paqueta was being asked to undertake between Lyon & West Ham. Quite understandable why his goals, assists and shots per game were lower for West Ham than at Lyon.

Haven't got a fucking Scooby's what that means
It's basically stats of both players Gundogan and Paqueta.

Basically the further from the middle the better.
(You can see Gundogan is higher for most metrics.)

The abbreviations are measuring different categories averaged in 90 minutes. G is goals scored, xG is the expected goals scored, Sh is shots, A is assists, KP is keeping possession, xgChain and xgBuildup are slightly more complicated but are a measure of a players involvement in a sequence of events that lead to an expected goal, so related to creativity.

(A longer explanation of last 2 metrics given at: https://statsbomb.com/articles/soccer/introducing-xgchain-and-xgbuildup/)

I do accept that different leagues have different characteristics, however some skills and attributes can be universal, it's why clubs like Brighton can unearth hidden gems on a regular basis. Paqueta is older he's played in Brazil, Italy and France, he's only had one full season in the PL himself. You can analyse and compare different players, ages and different leagues and competitions. Kudos has favourable underlying stats, even allowing for the Eredivisie, he's played in the Champions league and last season scored 4 goals in 6 games!
Had Cucurella & Mitoma signed for City before Brighton got them cheaply, they would have the had similar opportunities in the 1st team to Gomez & Angelino.
