What if he's asked for 900k per week, does that make Txiki useless?

Yep. Txiki refusing to go above our valuation on players is a vital part of our success.

I was being a little tongue in cheek. I'm sure there is a transfer plan for the next few years based on age and contract length and other stuff. What I was trying to say (badly) is they won't or don't, see the need to panic and they will be thinking outside the box to achieve the long term plan.

I understand other people panicking, it's a city supporter trait going way back, end of the world stuff, but if we step back and look at what's happened and where we are (Champions of Europe!) the people in charge will have it under control.

It maybe we have to take a step back to move forward, god forbid, but if we do, we will bounce back. I hope one of the end goals, is to have Pep sign another extension and to do that, we have to give him the right tools not make do's.

Gundogan out - Kovacic in.
Mahrez out - Doku in.
Laporte out - Gvardiol in.

I don't see how we're weaker. Palmer has obviously come on leaps and bounds and McAtee and Bobb are good enough to pick up a dozen games each.

Kovacic is what Philips should have been (cover for Rodri or play with him in CM). Not a Gundogan replacement, nowhere near as creative or as much of a goal threat.

We already had a small squad (got lucky with injuries last season KDB apart). We are short imo, albeit i wasnt a huge fan of the Paqueta deal at the prices being quoted
