Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

Nobody knows.

But you can’t blame West Ham..

They have seen the other prices players are selling for,

West Ham don’t owe City anything.

And City knew that transfer price increase was coming.
Depends how far negotiations went with West Ham to decide whether or not they can be blamed.
Not sure I understand your last point. How did we know?

Jack Gaughan also saying it's just on hold. Sounds like a "shit or get off the pot" move from either City or the player's agent.
Yeah this could be a negotiating tactic. My advice to Paqueta is to put in a transfer request right now.

De Bruyne's injury will be why.

True although I wonder how much the Doku part will have played as well - that they wanted him but he wants us etc. I wonder if they wanted us to pull out of that deal. Either way, it was never going to happen. I don't think City will get true value at this point in the market but they definitely won't have the piss taken

I wouldn't shop in the premier league if we are looking for an alternative with how high the prices are, hopefully we can find someone from Seri A or La liga

Locatelli apparently is going for 20mil, Alegri really can’t use him, sadly italians dont quite mesh in Prem sadly tho

Sellers market. Last couple of weeks of the transfer window and anyone buying now is desperate - the reason we get our business done early most of the time. I think we'll walk away and start a more sensible conversation next month with a view to buying in Jan.
