Lucy Letby infant murders trial - Guilty verdict (P 13)

Remember beverley allet ? Think she is still in prison on a whole life tarrif , these things happen very rarely , thankfully
She’s in a secure psychiatric hospital. She didn’t get a whole life tariff. She got a minimum of 30 years and was eligible for parole 2 years ago but she wasn’t released and it’s unlikely she ever will be - thankfully.

I think it's a fair point to raise, but in this circumstance if you go to the police and raise your concern and then the head of the hospital is asked in a meeting and he says the incident has been dealt with internally, there is no evidence to support the claim, and that the staff who raised the concern will be suspended or fired for unfairly targeting the nurse you're not really left with many places to go to unless you have undeniable evidence of your own.
Bluemoon investigation and jury in full swing on this one.

They should have gone to the press If it wasn't being investigated properly
Oh yeah, of course why didn't they just phone a newspaper to say "I suspect one of my colleagues is murdering babies". I'm sure that would have done the trick, no need to try and go through the official channels that are supposed to handle things, or worry about libel.

Having reported there concerns - because without an investigation that's all they could be - they were told by management that it was being investigated, and were told it would be referred to an outside agency, then management sat on it for 3 months and went back on their word.

Those handwritten notes in that article are the closest we’re ever likely to get to seeing how her mind worked.

A truly fucked up person in pretty much every sense of the phrase.

It seems that she doesn’t believe that she’s committed these crimes. As a result, we’re unlikely to know what her motive was.
The notes seem to suggest she does know what she’s done but yeah horrendous

I think I read that they both retired. However the former director of nursing Alison Kelly left the Countess of Chester in 2021 and works in a similar position at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Salford Royal Hospital and Royal Oldham Hospital.

Maybe it's no wonder that Hope Hospital (Salford Royal to non Mancunians) has gone from one of the best in the country to 'requires improvement'!!

'It was previously one of the top-performing hospitals in the United Kingdom[14][15][16][17] but is now rated as "Requires Improvement" in the latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission and the first inspection since joining the Northern Care Alliance group.'

Tony Chambers the CEO went on to work in 3 other hospitals around the country then retired with a £1.08M pension.

Ian Harvey Medical Director has retired on a good pensions and apparently moved to Spain.

I cannot begin to even comprehend how they didn't listen to the people who were there everyday and had such huge concerns. But even more I cannot comprehend what those poor parents must be going through and will continue to go through.

RIP little ones.
Yes.
R.I.P.
I can't think of anything more to say.
