Obviously, if the rags replace Evra with Shaw that's a massive(sorry!) upgrade right now and the lads 18 so only going to get better, granted some players like James Vaughan, Dan Gosling, Tony McMahon, the Villa winger that was on loan at Wigan this season don't reach their full potential but this lads a sure fire winner.

If Shaw joins Ushited then Danamy deserves the credit. Almost a month ago he called it.

Unfortunately we're not in the frame for his signature at the moment.

Believe it or not the Rags are in pole position, they're putting all their eggs in one basket with a huge offer that eclipses Chelsea.

Nothing has convinced me that we should be paying the fee Southampton are asking for Luke Shaw. Out of Southampton's current crop Adam Lallana has impressed me but at his age has he done more in his career than David Silva, Samir Nasri or Jesus Navas?

Best left back ever?
Left backs not much older than him that are miles better but not extremely overrated because of being English: Alberto Moreno, Ricardo Rodriguez, David Alaba. Just of the top of my head, I bet there is many more.

If it is true, then the rags either have a shit load of money to spend, or are spending it very poorly. £27m for a leftback is just far too much, especially when you have so many more important holes in that team and when he's mainly just potential at this stage. They need players who are going to improve their team drastically right now, of which a leftback with potential probably won't do. If however, they buy Shaw, along with 3 world class central midfielders, 2 world class centerbacks and a few amazing wide players, then it might be a decent plan

Shaw looks Ok especially at 18 but he is no word beater

United have between £120m and £200m to spend this summer, depending on who you believe. But a big % of that will go on replacing outgoings like Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra and whoever they can flog (Ashley Young, Hernandez, etc.).

Shaw and Carvalho would be very good signings for them, but I wonder if Moyes can ever make them serial winners? Pellegrini, Rodgers and Mourinho are superior tactical coaches.

Not for me, only if we'd already secured a top centerback (or two) and a top central midfielder to cover Yaya and Fern. Fullback would always be the last place I'd spend big money, other than maybe keeper.
