Swabs from the car were sent to the Birmingham forensic laboratory after British sniffer dogs detected a scent in the boot during the brief time that it was in police possession.Surely the question is how you know it was her blood?
"New tests carried out at the Forensic Science Service laboratory in Birmingham show there is a 'moderate' chance that the blood belonged to Madeleine. And since the car was handed back to the family, results from the laboratory have indicated that a trace of Madeleine's blood had been left in the boot.
unless that has now been debunked

Madeleine: Bloody footprint found in McCanns' apartment
A bloody footprint was found in Kate and Gerry McCann's apartment, matching a print on their hire car, according to a forensic report shown to The Mail on Sunday.www.standard.co.uk
but possible it was madeline's, nothing admissible of course but can't be totally dismissedThis is where the very dubious journalism comes in.
The police files have records of interviews where it was put to the mccanns that there was blood and dna in the car.
This was not really true. There was blood but not anything sufficient to match to any person. So probably a small amount and not really providing any meaningful evidence. Could of been anyones blood from any time.
There was separately dna found but it was partial. Basically her family had been using the car so you would expect to see some matches as the family all have the same mix of dna. This is not a match, and even if it was you can't rule out contamination. Its not evidence that would ever go to court but a slightly dodgy police detective might use it to pile on some pressure.
Those interview tapes were then used to suggest that there was blood and dna in the car. Its not false its just not categorically maddies and that fact was ignored.
Results are rated on an eight-point scale: no scientific evidence, limited, moderate, moderately strong, strong, very strong, extremely strong and conclusive.so can't be dismissed

an open mind has to remain
Not criminall no.so leaving 3 toddlers unattended in a property on their own at night without a clear view of that property whilst dining
was not negligent?
It was both those things, yes.terrible parenting with a tragic consequence it certainly was
If they were in any way guilty the UK police would have known and nailed them in an hour.In terms of evidence it has almost zero value.
Open mind yes, but then you have to go back to the timeline and the plausibility of their involvement. Did they sit down for tapas having just killed their daughter* and hidden her body? And whatever effort to hide the body was not seen by anyone else, in broad daylight, early evening, no car or means of transport so you have to carry the body through a tourist resort. And the body not found in the days after with search teams everywhere. And then they go and hire a car and move the body? With searches still ongoing?
Not even the great Hercule Poirot would believe a story like that.
*You have to assume accidentally as if it was deliberate there is no way you come up with this crazy plan. And either way why would you not wait until morning to raise the alarm and claim the abduction was in the night?
negligent yesNot criminall no.
its somebody's blood is all i'm saying and that includes madelineResults are rated on an eight-point scale: no scientific evidence, limited, moderate, moderately strong, strong, very strong, extremely strong and conclusive.
From an evidential point of view, "moderate" may as well translate into "completely irrelevant," especially when numerous other people (including very close family members) had travelled in the car.
i've already said its inadmissableIn terms of evidence it has almost zero value.
