I second that. We needed something different up front. It might not have worked out, but at least there would be someone to aim at.
 
Sums our season up, half arsed performance. I think a lack of quality in midfield didnt help us out. Sergio having to come deep for the ball just doesn't work well with me. Fernando isn't good enough for us, offers nothing going forward. Fernandinho is class but needs that creative player alongside him. Some tinkering about in the summer and we will be a good team again.
 
Gutted, I can handle getting beat if we put the effort in, but tonight, I don't know why, we were rudderless & spineless.

Onwards & upwards, need to win the last two league games
 
Out of our depth. Not the right game for Kev or right position, they had a beano down our left side first half. Just hope we can raise our game for the gooners.
 
That display was nothing else than flipping the middle finger to the supporters who went out there. Infuriating and humiliating.
Memories of how Chelsea battled out of their skin in 2009 to just get beaten by dubious referring, MP will never get the same kind of commitment from a squad, never.
 
Our 2 most influencial attacking players, KDB and Kun has poor games tonight. We just never got going.
Disappointing to say the least. Too many lethargic displays this season. Roll on August.
 
We held a offside defensive line on the 94th minute in our box. Wtf are clichy and sagna doing there. 0 effort literally. Atleast pep will fuck them over when they stop playing. I would take a 3-0 over this shit.

No point resting anyone if the plan was to not score at all. They had no defensive mids for fucks sake. Just play your best team every game you idiot MP, you fucked up the Southampton game and now the players and probably you played the worst CL semi final.

Every single fan has mire passion than the 11+MP. I know he will be like well played, was a close loss. Fuck me, Madrid were in neutral. We played like atletico without the desire, energy.

One other thibg that did my tits in was in the 92nd or so minute Mangala is nearest to the ball for the throw in but wait he retracts to defend and Clichy comes and throws it in. Passion is the game against QPR this is just nothing. We wasted 180 minutes of the world with those performances.

Its not only MP is it? The players can obviously see we are 10 minutes away from getting knocked out and they play like the first 10 minutes of the game. Pellegrini or not they shouldnt be doing that.
None of them except Kelechi, Hart, Otamendi, Mangala ( just because they dint have to attack) deserve to wear a City jersey right now.

Put in any team from the PL bar Aston Villa and they had show more risk in the last 20-30 minutes.

Players rested. 90min away from a final. Loud Blues in attendence and thats all they can fuckin give us. Not one moment to get on the end of our seats. Fuckin pitiful. Hate Real but a good having to lose too but not like that like a fart in a breeze. Roll on new season and Pep and fresh new players.
 
Turgid display, midfield outplayed by superior technically proficient players. Fernando, KDB, Yaya were way off the pace, surprised by Kevin but too many wayward passes. Onwards and upwards with some serious squad surgery necessary. Team were hit hard by losing Komps but a defender shouldn't mean we don't create chances. I felt sorry for Aguero and to be fair he and we as fans deserve better than that.
 
I don't know why Otamendi is tasked with making risky midfield-bypassing passes while all our midfielders pass it sideways 5 yards.

Pretty disappointed with the lack of a threat we posed. The score really flatters us. Real were having a jog out at the end.
 
Absolutely gutted with that perfrormance, players didnt look interested. FFS its a semi final and we should be busting a gut to get a goal.
Pep going to have his work cut out to sort out a team from that, Otamendi is useless, spends more time lying down than anything else and his distribution is awful.
Sterling is like Navas without the workrate. Vinnie looks like hes finished ( too many injuries to be a regular unless we can get it sorted). With 15 minutes to go we should have been going all out for that goal.
 
I could picture most scenarios tonight, a cagey game, a goal fest one way or the other, but the game I watched? I simply couldn't have imagined a match where every player, with the exception of Joe, and perhaps Navas, had their worst ever game in a City shirt. KDB was terrible, Aguero nowhere to be seen, we were toothless and directionless, did we manage to string more than four or five passes together in their half?

I'm gutted, completely deflated. God sakes win the last two games, secure top four and close the door on this awful season.
