Maicon

Must admit when he came on looking a bit portly and with his previous with Bale,I and I think quite a few people around me got a bit nervous.
Very brave move from Mancini and he should get a lot of credit for it.
Crosses of that quality are something we've desperately lacked.

Wonder if he can take a corner ?

Have to doff my cap to him today. I've never been a fan but he offered a new dimension to us when he came on.

I'm not so sure he will work as an orthodox right back, because he can't defend, but he's certainly going to prove very useful when we have three at the back and/or are attacking some of the division's lesser lights.

Agree with you - he definitely offered a new dimension.

Maicon was, in many people's opinion, the best right back in the world so no one should be surprised that he can put in a perfomance like today's. The question that is yet to be answered is how consistently he can do it?

Zabaleta was execellent today but still lacks delivery.

Maicons delivery was good and he looked a real threat going forward.

I like the 3-5-2 with zab and clichy alongside kompany. Maicon and kolorov much better in this system.

Was quality today! Loved it when Spurs thought they were in for a treat when he came on and I was worried at first tbh but he was amazing up against Bale and put in some dangerous crosses. He was annoyed at the end when he was in on goal and the ref blew up and we had a little Maicon love in in block 109!

Really impressed with Maicon today got some really good crosses in.He also did some good defending.

I thought he played really well once he came on. Some brilliant crosses, pretty solid defending. Just wish he was a bit younger.

He was class today from a piss-poor opening pass his game got better and better. Hopefully he'll go on from here and be a legend and not another Michael Frontzeck in waiting.
