Daft Donald. Although maybe he deserves a thread all of his own.

That's already been done...:-) And Donald is exempt from the above as he would have been about 4 at the time. Even for him that would have been far too young.

No reference to the above mate. I know 1970 is before his time. Didn't know he'd already had a thread though? I'll have a look for that cheers.

I used to stand on the kippax with Tony Whelan - he played for United youth in the morning then come to watch City with his combat jacket on covered in City graffiti and a Union Jack

As you may be aware he eventually played for his beloved City later in his career

I used to play against him at school - he played for St Pauls in Urmston and I played for Stretford Grammar

I remember mick the idiot (Stoke away running out the Boothen), Daffy (The Clarence), D Bigga, Geezer and Jap (Gorton), Sinbad (also ran into Derby fans alone on the pitch at Derby away last game one season), Debbie and Tony, Pez (Perry Boys, always in the AWAY section of the Kippax) Pat B (now Cheadle?), F Pratt (massive fight outside OT on Warwick Road Bridge with Utd) The lads from Bramhall, Longsight, Withington (wooley), Burnage etc (C Burns, G hayes, too many to mention)

There were loads of little crews in those days.

Is the F Pratt you mention Fred Pratt from Kingsway,Burnage?
I used to go to away matches in the mid 70's with Fred's crew.
He was as mad as a hatter in those days,he smashed a pint pot against the ceiling of a pub full of Geordies at Wembley 76 and then offered the whole lot of them out,but none of them wanted to take him on.
He also offered all the mad jocks out at the beer keller in Blackpool one weekend and none of them wanted to know either.

got told a story about a man who had a broken leg in a derby at main road and throw his crutch into the rag end and a policeman went and got it him and gave it him back

He actually runs his own building firm these days,my pal Barry who got to know Fred through going to building college with him back in the 70s is one of the partners/directors of his company.

Loads of PSYCHOS from back in the day have done very well. Some not so well. Many of them I know went abroad and never returned. USA, Trinidad, Aussie, NZ and Sweden just some I know of.

Fred will probably remember B Skreeton too from that area. We all used to drink in the Mauldeth , Derby etc.
