Slightly off on a tangent but does anyone remember 'Pathfinder' drove for a coach firm (buggered if I can remember but went most aways with them before I could drive) If I remember, was Roger Palmers dad.
It was always more of a Mystery tour than an away match.Remember going to Notts counties ground then finally Notts Forests.Trouble was,we were actually playing Derby that day.

Don't know if he has been mentioned yet, but "Kenny Everett" as we used to call him in the Kippax lower was a real character. Started making a name for himself when the new Kippax was built, lower tier quite close to Platt Lane end. He looked a little like Kenny but he was always pissed as a fart, and every game, five minutes in, regardless of the score, he'd stand up and start shouting "CITY, CITY, THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND..." frantically clapping and looking a real mess to go with it. The stewards used to chuck him out most of the time even though we'd boo them and try and grip him to sit somewhere, think some people must have always complained as he was incessant but we thought he was class. Don't know if he ever saw a full game, he certainly won't remember any of them.

We used to travel to Maine Road from Durham City for every home game in the 80's & 90's. Always remember an absolutly huge guy going and wondering how he got into the ground. Saw him one day being let in by the gates rather than the turnstyle.

Was also a bloke who we christened "the grey haired man". would always show up about 2 seconds before kick off and block our view. He was always eating a pie and would always tell everyone that he was a ref and that in the next couple of years he would be on the pitch at City not in the crowd. Said this for about 6 years till i finally asked him what level he was. He said level 10 which was basically someone who had took the refs exam but never went onto ref an actual game.

We always used to wait till the Kippax had emptied before leaving and quite often would see "the wrestlers". They dressed in sheep skin coats and were always completley pissed. They would start doing wrestling manouevres on each other on the concrete and quite often would roll to the bottom, get up slap each other on the back and start again.

Saw him the other week.

He once started sayying really personal stuff to me on a London tube, like "You live on Langdale Avenue, don't you?" and "You're 26, aren't you?" and all this. Whilst we knew each other's faces, I couldn't believe he knew all this stuff about me.

Then he gave me my wallet back.

Also was once in the Moon Under The Water with him after we'd been relegated.

He got his cock out and pissed in the middle of the pub in front of hundreds of people.

remember in the early to mid nineties they were raffling a signed city in the Prince of Wales pub in broughton(Terry Phelan donated it)for some charity and that wanker thought it'd be a good idea to lift it...........nice guy

Always remember the lads from the high peak, with their distinctive chant " We live in Mud huts, we come from Glossop!" - made us chuckle.

M O S T O N Moston Blues are ere again.....! from all my pals, one of whom (RB) to those who knew him, used to do a brilliant impression of Lu Lu , with the cry "WELLLLLL YOU MAKE ME WANNA SHOUT......!!!!" and all of us, and people who didnt know us, but stood around us, all used to jump about mental like a moshpit at a punk gig - happy days indeed..........:-)

saw him the other week at leicester and at coms most games

Cockney Pete, he travels up from london every week, he used to stand in the kippax under the tunnel that advertised piccadilly radio, remember talking to him at forest away in the eighties, he was telling us he was traveling to manchester on the train a few weeks earlier with west hams icf, he was having a laugh with them taking the piss out of the rags, respect to the fella he spent all his money on city over the years even when we were rock bottom, true city legend

Always known him as Mad Pete (for obvious reasons!) from Accrington. Early mid 80's he'd be on the football special and we'd get talking to him. Always had to leg it from Piccadilly to Victoria to get the last train to Accrington.
He then had no job for a while and he got a job at Heathrow so moved down to London and didnt travel as much.
Didnt see him for years but then saw him outside Maine Road for the last game, trying to get in.
Nice to see him back again regularily and he doesnt look any different!
He always had a bottle of whisky with him in his City bag and just would take it out and swig it during the game, even in front of stewards and they never said anything, home or away!

He sits in 122 I believe, saw him all the time when I was in 121 in 09/10, always had a blue lunchbox with him.
