Maine Rd terrace characters

I’d be interested if anyone knows two Blues we used to stand with in the Kippax back in around 1976 or so. We were from Hazel Grove and these two lads called Mac and Bridge were from Weaverham and I think took the City Supporters club coach from Northwich. Must have been born around 1960 I’d guess. Two great characters. Had some great banter over those years. Appreciate any info ! Cheers Peter

I can't help you with Mac or Bridge but I'm originally from the Grove and have just moved back to Stockport after living in Northwich for about 20yrs, never came across them.
So no fucking help whatsoever.

Bloody hell I honestly thought he`d passed away. Please send him my regards mate. The last time I saw him was over at his own pub in Staffs which was next to a Golf Club and me and the missus had a great meal and he enjoyed showing me the phots in the rooms of his time out in Saudi where he coached a local team.

He’s looking very old and unwell now unfortunately.

His chat-chat was always bananas. He’d have the train carriage in stitches, but not necessarily on purpose!
