Malcolm Allison RIP - Confirmed

I may be too young to have seen him manage us but no young blue grows up without hearing many a story about Big Mal and Joe.

He IS the history of the club!

RIP Big Mal

A sad loss, such an enthusiastic person and way ahead of the times and an influence on a young certain Mr Mourinho. You will be remembered for bringing the good times back to City. Thanks for those memories. I'm sure Sir Joe will give you a warm welcome.

RIP Malcolm.

edit: Very nice touch with the BM page header.

The first of the truly great football coaches a million miles in front of anyone before or after RIP Mall i will never forget you and for the chats with you and Bert in the plough A O M

First went to a city game 1969.................Big Mal was a legend then . and he will be forever more
RIP Malcolm. a TRUE city legend

Slightly before my time, but a City legend he was. Read, and watched so much stuff on him, you get hairs standing up on the back of your neck at some of the things he's done. (like DD said earlier putting 3 fingers up the rags and then we win 3-1)

A human being, well and truly written into the history of Manchester City F.C

RIP 'Big Mal'

more charisma in is little toe than virtually everyone in the game now.

only caught is second coming at city, but remember getting his autograph as a kid, just a great character, and possibly the last of the shankly clough era.

having read his book it's fair to say he led an extraordinary life and lived it to the full.

rip big mal.

Priviledged to have known Big Mal many years ago at Maine Road, he was a great guy, a character, just wish we had the likes of him around City these days, RIP Big Mal, thanks for the memories.

RIP Big Mal.

He was at City before my time but the stories from my Dad and Uncle, the books I've read and video clips I've seen show that he is a City legend who the game will greatly miss. I love the story of him scouting Colin Bell!

I hope City help to provide a great send off!

CTID

Before my time. I was born 4 years after he won the title for City. To do this day it is rare a week goes by without someone in the snug at the local talking about the good old days at City. Wished I had got to see him manage and his team play. RIP. Cheer us on.

Big Mal was a true hereo to me but I was coming out of King's Cross station about ten years ago and saw him really pissed and it was so sad. He was a giant in the fgootball world and way ahead of his time. He knew what was needed at City and they were such a brilliant team under him and Mercer.
Roll on the good times again cannot wait
