Man City V Wigan pre match thread.

Very surprised that there are still such doubters around.

These days, Manchester City are a different class to Wigan Athletic. Even if they are in form and even if we play a team with a view to Barcelona in midweek, City will win this game.

We don't have to be at our best to do it, somewhere near will do. That isn't arrogance, it's realism.

I think we'll be the cup upset, a combination of players celebrating the league cup win, Barca in a few days time, fully expecting a reserve team, a team bang in form and up for it. Played it safe in the guess the team thread by going for 1-1 but think it will be 3-1 Wigan.

P.S What's Wigan's main forum? everyone I've seen seems to be a few blokes and scarcely used.

3?

Really?

Really. From what I've seen recently they've playing 3 out of Maynard, Mcmanaman, Mclean, Powell, Gomez, Waghorn that's young, quick and full of goals.

Of course man for man we are better however I just have a feeling they'll be right up for it and turn us over. Hope I'm wrong and we run up a cricket score.

Would love to her a Uwe Uwe chant before the KO next week but asking for the DJ and the twat with the mike to give it a rest will be asking for to much, so how about the kippaks and SS giving it a go early in the game I am not a singer or stander but would give it my best from 204.

I sit in 204 and I don't pay way over the odds for my plush leather seat to have noisy yobs like you spoil my afternoon by chanting and shouting.

Relocate to the South Stand if you want to make a racket.

Now listen here we in the 204 massive crew do as we want or are you looking for the contents of my colostomy bag over your head, all together now UWE UWE. But no standing please and wear gloves to muffle the sound.

Watford should be a reality check for overconfident Blues. I know we won fairly easy in the 2nd half but how they weren't 4 up is still mystifying...

I take the point onbiatd about them being up for it, but think we will still win comfortably. The squad players likely to start Richards, Lescott, Garcia, and probably Milner all have a point to prove, and i dont think MP wants to risk a replay.

-- Wed Mar 05, 2014 8:25 pm --

Take onboard, damn you iphone and fat fingers

You were never very good at this fishing lark!

had we persisted and not brought on Kompany and Zabba we would have been playing at home to Villa on Saturday , and our f a cup hopes would have gone down the swanny the fact is Rodwell Richards and Boyota are not good enough to be trusted to replace our regular first team players The Watford match proved this and thankfully Pellegrini also caught on and brought them off at half-time imho are squad is not the awesome stengtth some believe and hopefully the manager will sell/loan out next season to be successful lets play our best team till we establish a winnable lead Will they be Knackered? yes but they will soon be relaxed after a good rest lying on their deckchair with wags in sunny Cleethorpes!!

Just got to disagree.
If we under estimate Wigan just slightly this weekend we will make a sharp exit from the competition.
They are on a hell of a run and might even fancy themselves for an upset.
We need to play a full strength side from the off otherwise I feel we will rue the day.
