Man notified of burglary via app goes home murders burglar [Liverpool]

Again, if people left other people's property (homes, cars etc) alone there wouldn't be an issue, legal or otherwise. The laws should be stricter, I'd have no issues with offenders having hands chopped off for breaking into people's houses and stealing things, they should get a fucking job and buy stuff like the rest of us have to, a Friend of the Family is a Magistrate who was always a do-gooder about how you shouldn't protect your possessions and should allow them to take them without fighting back, a few years ago he was burgled in the night, his opinion has now changed to the point where he would sooner go to Prison.

I’d be surprised if they haven’t tested the law to say being a burglar is a job - and then sue a property owner for failing to provide a safe working environment.

Chop his hand off? Is that where we’re at?

Guys done the world a favour as far as I'm concerned. Shouldn't suffer for being the victim of burglary. I imagine for anybody that isn't a low-life the psychological impact of having murdered someone and having to live with that is far more punishment than they deserve on its own.

I was speaking about this earlier. The issue is that they made out that his wife was in danger. He had called her on route and knew she wasn’t at home and wasn’t in danger. Stabbed the lad in the body and face, through the eye and into the brain. Then left in the car. Crashed the car when he returned. Then stabbed the lad through the neck, cutting his jugular, and killing him. They then tried to hide evidence. Burglars are scum but that is particularly cold. Also, it isn’t clear that the burglars were armed. There is a suggestion the home owner or his brother in law has a gun though. A good battering should have sufficed, before handing them over to the police. To stab the lad multiple times, breaking the knife off in his eye / brain, then leaving and returning to finish him off was OTT. Absolute twat……

If that’s what happened then the guy is a fucking evil nut job and deserves never to see the outside world again.

It’s quite simply really. Absolutely premeditated, otherwise they’d have phoned the police before going themselves no?

There were 2 of them and while they might not have bought a weapon, there were no doubt household 'weapons' available to them (as shown by the homeowner!!).

Personally I believe a person has the right to defend themselves and their property if they are at home and multiple attackers break in with force. It would seem to create a reasonable possibility that violence could follow and the homeowner would then be outnumbered.

Obviously the law disagrees with me in this case but it does seem a bit harsh that he gets years in prison while the surviving burglar/robber gets to walk away with a suspended sentence and community service. After all it was the robbery that set those events in motion.
Is leaving and then going back to him on the street and stabbing him again in the neck “defending himself and his property”
