Below is the new and emerging St John’s/Enterprise City district. It includes the old Granada Studios. A mixture of residential, offices, leisure, Factory International, etc. The property developer is Allied London.

The tower under construction is Union Living - 32 stories. Another and similar tower next it is also under construction. That will be 36 stories.



The tower behind Union Living is Novella - 23 stories, which has recently been completed. Phase 2, Plot C - 23 stories has recently received planning permission.

Going to stick to the changing skyline and towers otherwise I’ll be on here all day posting about the property developments happening in Manchester.

But every now and again I’m going to post something different.

I like office blocks. :-) Over the last few year lots of office blocks have been built in the city centre. The vast majority are really good looking.(as office blocks go)

A couple of my favourites at the moment are 4 New Bailey - 10 stories - New Bailey. Pre-let to and built for BT.

The cladding is superb.

Eden - 15 stories - New Bailey

Covering over 3,000m² of the façade with more than 350,000 plants of 32 different species, we are on the way to completing the second largest living wall in the world (the first we completed in Qatar in 2018, named Khalifa Avenue). No probs. :-) Should have started it a long time ago.

I’m always trawling LInkedin, Twitter, Instagram, etc for skyline, tower, construction, etc pictures.(drone videos)

I do a monthly city centre construction roundup. Or as much of the city centre that I can get around in one day. The next city centre construction roundup is due later this month. I’ll post the pictures on the thread.
